Oh ok got confused by this bundle for a sec. So you still pay for all the individual items, but just at a discounted rate. So if you choose the Office 365 1 year subscription it should be $10 more because the item is priced more than the Arc Touch Mouse.

AU$1,208.98 for the 128GB Model with the Arc Touch Mouse
AU$1,548.98 for the 256GB Model with the Arc Touch Mouse

Would rather just not the 3rd item tbh, or a discounted Office Suite. But yeh they should've been doing these bundles from the get go, ludicrous that they think people would purchase them without the Type Cover. An official bundle helps makes it feel more complete (rather than, oh yeh gotta pay $150 for the keyboard).

Still not sure if it's entirely that attractive though, Surface Pro 3 (64 GB) + Type Cover 3 is $1129.

Also something I noticed was do the SP2 models all have 8GB RAM? Didn't think that was right but the description doesn't change when I try to choose different memory models (64/128/256).

You are right — I was confused by the description. 64GB/128GB models have 4GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB models have 8GB RAM.

    • Completely different devices….can the macbook air function as a tablet?

      • -7

Good point.. Ill just use my macbook air and a separate ipad air for a total price of $900. Beat that!!!!

        • +4

          Beat that!!!!

Or we could act like civilised people and not engage in a pissing contest over our completely subjective choice in products.

    • and where can i get a macbook air 11 with a full hd screen for 500?

      • -1

If you need a full hd display tablet then use the iPad air worth $400. I'm just stating the fact that the previous deal for the 11inch Macbook air and an ipad air. For a total price of $900 is a better value than this.. Just chill everyone.

        • but i need a touchscreen and full hd , while running full windows applications …

having 2 items so you can do the actions a single item is just a waste of time

        • @astarman:
No you'll have twice as much time and thats coming from someone who thinks apple products are for hipsters .

    • Which brand macbook air you got for $500???
      o_O

      • -2

Its Apple brand. I didn't know that other manufacturer makes macbook air.

This is the previous deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150885

No longer available so pointless going on about it. Give us a currently available comparison.

  • Just a heads up, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is out of production. All Microsoft Surface Pros going forward will be much larger.

So you are buying an orphan product.

      orphan product

In what sense. There are still enough covers, cases and accesories in stock for years to come.

This will receive software updates for a very long time.

Just because there's a new model doesn't invalidate the old ones.

own $200 RT and love it. got Pro2 from work and it is bit of a brick. twice the thickness and weight….

Not a bargain, Microsoft needs a tablet that runs win pro for under $500, then i might…nah

    • har har I get it, you don't like Windows 8..

Seriously though, there are other OEMs for cheaper Win8 Pro tablets. Surface isn't about competing on price, it's about setting a benchmark for a quality product.
