    Had a really bad experience with buying online through them. Check their Facebook page and Ebay feedback and you'll see.

      +1 to that. I tried to get a MacBook Pro when they had 15%(well 10% +the take5 code) off but they rejected my card and cancelled my order twice….I don't recommend calling up their call centre when hungover… In the end I ordered my laptop from the apple store…..

      I bought a TV through their eBay store actually and had a great experience despite the negative feedback so I was happy to order a computer.

      So in short order with caution…

    • Had a nightmare dealing with dick smith online.
      Would definitely not recmmend them.
      For an asx listed company you would think they would invest more time into customer service.
      Eventually stock analysts will notice the continual bad reports and factor it into share price calculations etc.

      • had 12 order with dse online, no problem at all, mostly got my item within 2 days after i paid.

    I bought a ps4 during the 15% off eBay and an extra controller during the 20% off. Both were delivered a week later. Either they are unfairly judged or I'm just lucky.

      You didn't have the pleasure of talking to their overseas call centre. They continuously pushed me back saying they don't take responsibility for items bought through their ebay store.
      They told me to call ebay. Even the manager told me this.
      Mine is not an isolated case.

        I've never had a problem with anything ordered through DSE & DSE Ebay.

  • Yeah, I bought a PS4 from them this week and it arrived 2 days later. No problems at all.

    Still having trouble getting my 8 x aaa eneloop from the May13 deal, and they had several more similar deal since then. Telling me they aren't stocking them anymore and i can get a refund. I called bs and said they still list the 4pack. Now i just want my cash back.

        Offering a refund when they still stock the product i purchased, then similar deals later on which were listed online and probably honoured.
        No, at first i politely told them of the continued deals they had similar whilst still not honouring mine and that they still stocked the batteries. They've continued to ignor my contact and now i'm feed up and want out.
        So yes i will now accept their refund

        • I hadn't received my AAA Eneloops after 3 weeks so sent a polite email reminding them. Received a reply with some baloney about not having stock and coincidently they arrived next working day.

    My issues with the $10 Pioneer headphones are still going.

    Even after they promised to ship new replacement headphones (Phillips) by Friday this week, it still hasn't happened.

    • Unlikely they would have arrived already. They told me shipped Friday 11th, takes 4 business days.

    • That's interesting, because the email you would have received said this:

      "All replacement orders will be despatched on Friday 11th July 2014."

    • Same here, they changed my order to Phillips without any kind of contacts, even didn't ask what colour I prefer, just throw me blue pairs and email me they have despatched.

  • I tried to do a click and collect on some headphones and wasted my lunch hour as the store did not have my order and was told it was canceled…
    Dicksmith has gone from bad when it was run by woolworths and that badly handled sale to the current owners…

    This happens so often with Dicksmith, It's getting beyond a joke!
