You also scan your Flybuys card :-p

      • perhaps give OP some free Flybuy points on checkout by scanning the code to say thank you.

  • Does it show 5 cents in store?

    • Yes.

      Scan it at barcode scanner.

      • +3

time to stock up on belts

  • -1

    is it real leather?

    • +9

      Yes, real Bonded Leather LOL

      • Yeah, I recently found out what bonded leather is when the black outside layer of my belt disappeared near my coin pocket after a bit of rubbing when taking coins out. And it's only a year old.

  • +7

That's SOME deal! Looks like one I bought in desperation on a trip. Worth maybe a dollar, or more if you left your good belts behind and are in desperate need of something to keep your trousers up like I was. Do yourself a favour and buy a couple of decent real leather belts that will last decades and not split.

    • +9

Can vouch for this. Spent $20 on a couple of belts a number of years ago which broke within a year with limited use.
Bought a factory second RM Williams belt for $40 two years ago which I've worn every day and it's fine, just some general leather weathering. Easily my happiest clothing purchase.

      • +4

you will have an 800 year supply of these belts for what you paid.

      • Same, have 2 RM Williams belts, and they are almost as new after frequent use.

    • Yep, I've got one (not RM) which I must have had for about 10 years. Can't remember exactly when I got it, but still going strong after pretty much daily wear (Mon-Fri). Only problem is that you know you used to fit one size smaller previously…

  • +23

I thought about getting a belt, but this extension cord is doing a good job.

    • +6

      He's raging on your cord.

      • It's no quote unqoute ultimate belt.

    • +2
    • Assume you're joking here, but there's been several occasions where I've rushed out the door to work and later realised I forgot my belt.
After continually adjusting my sliding pants, I've used a spare desk phone cable. Works a treat!

  • +5

You should include in your title the 99.74% OFF that you recieved!!! ;)

After the big ad on A Current Affair last night I would expect this to be at most 4 cents.

    C'mon Kmart, prices are down!

    • Getting to despise the thinly veiled advertisements on various TV shows like Current Affair.

    • +1

      what was it about? leather?

    • +11

the show is literally made for morons

  • +4

Real OZB peeps tie shopping bags together to make a belt ;)

    • +3

Shopping bags? Pffft, poor effort. Personally I melt down the plastic from leftover eneloop packets and fashion a hoop like object out of it.

      • +2

Electricity prices (ie. to melt down the plastic) have gone up 500% in the last week - no longer a bargain ;)

        Thanks ESCOSA !!

        • Council kerbside cleanup + old RP TV = free Fresnel solar furnace! ;)

    • Picture of you with this belt or you're not a real OZBargainer.

Reminds me of a 70's joke during the cold war. China's Mao TseTung sent a telegraph message to Russia's Kruschev.

Mao: Chinese people starving. Please send food.
Kruschev: Soviets have no food ourselves. Just tighten belts.
      Mao: Please send belts.

Okay I know my age is showing.

      • You were alive in the cold war?
Dam it old timer, your an inspiration to other codgers without keyboards.

Hate to be the cow that died for 5 cents.

    • I ate part of the cow that had its skin sold for a 5c belt.
What i couldn't eat i fed to my dogs.
I think the cows name was daisy if it helps.
      Delicious!

  • Hurstville,Solvania Kmart store?

  • +2

I absolutely love that the OP used FlyBuys on this. Just another 250,000 belts like this and London here we come!

    • You missed a few zeros in your calculations.

      • +4

And we're not about to argue with one of the oldest known calculating tools known to man!!!

  • +4

A price so low that ING Paywave would have no impact on

  • +2

I come from an ethnic family… this is a bargain but if tell my Dad about it he'll just buy and belt the crap out of it me… lol

    • Well then you probably should've got onto this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/152431

    • +1

      belt him when he's old.

    • -2

      Because he's ethnic? Realy…?
      Bit racist sounding comment mate.

I'd say if you were hypothetically beaten by your ethnic dad, its because your an idiot, and it wouldn't matter if he was ethnic/non-ethnic, there are still many retarded parents (and in your case kids) out there, who are dysfunctional enough to beat each other.

      • Mate, it's his own family, which includes himself as ethnic, that he is talking about… And it's well known to many that some cultures still believe in corporal punishment, even for those that have immigrated to Australia still generally hold such values that they grew up with.

        Edit:

        its because your an idiot,

Speaking of idiots… it's because you're an idiot!

        • -1

I've known many parents in Aus (non ethnic) who have used belts to hit their kids.
Coming from a ethnic background is irrelevant to the comment and only supports racist bigots and their views.

" this is a bargain but if tell my Dad about it he'll just buy and belt the crap out of it me… lol"

That is tongue in cheek and not racist, but that fact he is from a ethnic family is irrelevant, and by adding that in its promoting racism against other ethnic people, you seriously don't get that snoop, you too are an idiot.

        • +1

          @ozy:
I'm not sure how well travelled or culturally experienced you are, but maybe he was just trying to let us understand the reasoning behind why he is being beaten. Clearly it's a cultural (ethnic) thing for him otherwise I'm sure he wouldn't have mentioned it!

You know why it's now a racist comment? Because you have chosen to pull it apart, make an issue of, and highlight that one specific part of it!

Ps. Also look up the exact meaning of ethnic!

        • @Snoop:
My point exactly,, the actual reasoning behind him being beaten is being skewed by the ethnic comment (which in turn, insights bigotry), it's Clearly not cultural.
Its because his dad is violent enough to beat him with a belt.. Thats all.

My cultural "experience" is irrelevant also.
But lets just say, i'm well traveled and have seen people insight hate and bigotry views without knowing it, which result in violence and hate.

I'm sure he didn't want that, hence me calling him an idiot and telling him its racist.

Snoop don't defend it, its not being pulled apart.
          It reads how its written.

        • +2

I pretty much heard Mr_vino's comment in Vince Sorrenti's voice! ;)

        • +2

          @StewBalls:
Careful, it almost sounds like you're pidgeonholing him into a group based on his ethnicity! And that could also be classed as racist!

        • +2

@ozy: you're thinking about it way too much… twas a bit of sarcasm mate… lol

      • so are you saying that anyone who is "hypothetically" beaten by their own dad is because they are an idiot?

  • +9

Buy 40 of them cost u a golden coin. U r set till retirement. Maybe some still left to pass down to ur sons and their sons. They will thank u for ur vision and wise investment!

  • -1

Ozbargained i hope there still some stock in blacktown KMART LOL

    • Blacktown should still have heaps left, they don't need a belt to hold trakky daks up just far enough to show off two inches of plumber's crack! :P

  • +2

Cmon, someone spend $2, get 40, put them in your car boot and post a photo here.

  • +1

There's alot of belt at Kmart moonee ponds but nothing on the $19 mark.. only $10 and $3 bucks..both scanned the same as their tagged price.. :(

    • Same at southport… Could just be store specific. Anyone else got one?

  • +1

It's likely you won't find this deal at any other outlet, if the store still had this stock lying around at 5c they would do a price require at the back office to cover some of the cost before basically giving it away.

  • +2

"Aw dude four stam four strength leather belt?"

  • Looks like the belt my dad bought. We were wondering what the black specs were around te lounge room and it was his belt. Black leather bits just falling off everywhere. Six weeks old too.

  • Australia fair has some for $3, $7 reduced to $3 and $10 reduced to $7.
