Notable products

Playstation 4 from Dick Smith - $399.20 after 20% off

PlayStation 4 from The Gamesmen $396 after 20% off

XboxOne 500GB TitanFall Console Bundle - $478.40 + $5 shipping after 20% off

Nexus 5 (16GB, Black) $320 iPad Air 16GB Celluar $540.8 Shipped and etc

Since Video Games and Consoles are mentioned, I think PS4 and Xbox One are included. However I am not 100% sure.

Eg) PS4 @ Dick Smiths is $485 at the moment, but after the 20% discount it should be $388
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Playstation-4-Console-/25156…

Update 1 : As many of you already predicted, Dick Smiths actually raised prices, so now PS4 is $503.95($499+$4.95 for shipping) and Xbox One(XboxOne 500GB TitanFall Console Bundle) is $602.95.

After the 20% discount(it applies to the shipping fee as well), PS4 should be $403.16 and Xbox One(XboxOne 500GB TitanFall Console Bundle) should be $482.36.

Xbox One(XboxOne 500GB TitanFall Console Bundle)
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/XboxOne-500GB-TitanFall-Console-B…

Update 2 : You might want to check out Kogan Ebay store. They are selling phones & tablets(including iphones and Galaxy S5) under Toy section, so the 20% discount should be applied to those phones & tablets. Plus, it seems like Kogan listed Xbox One on their store as well, but it is same price as what DSE is selling at the moment($498, after the discout $398.4 thanks arena sales).

Update 3 : By the way, I would recommend you guys to keep your eyes on Ebay Group deal. If my memory serves me right, last time Apple MacBook Air 11" 128GB was only $500 after the 20% discount. Hopefully, some similar deals are available on 21/07/2014

http://groupbuy.ebay.com.au/

Update 4 : Many mobile phones, talbets and consoles that are sold by Kogan are no longer listed under the "toy" section. Make sure what you are purchasing is under the right category, so the discount can be applied.

Update 5 : Apparently PS4 is "sold out" @ DSE, just a day before, the deal starts.

Update 6 : PS4 is back on DSE ebay store @ $499(thanks kamoi) which should be $400-ish after the 20$ discount. However it says "Limited quantity remaining"

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Playstation-4-Console-/25156…

Update 7 : Sony Xperia Z, Z1, Z2and compact are still under Toy section(thanks grab_ur_freebies)

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=&_osacat=220&_trksid…

Udpate 8 : Some ipad are still under Toy section(thanks andri77), including ipad mini with retina 16GB white which should be $352 (after disc)

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=iphone+5s&LH_BIN=1&_…

Update 9 : Some Samsung smartphones(including Galaxy S5) are still listed under the toy section.

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Other-/1039/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw…

However, I can not confirm the 20% discount can be applied to those smartphones, tablets and consoles that are sold by Kogan

Coupon code is CTOYTASTIC, good luck everyone

    • yep good find

    • Wow mate. Extremely good find!

    • It will count but I'd rather spend a few bucks more and get it from DSE. At least they have retail outlets everywhere so that warranty will be easier if you need RMA done. Buying from ebay at DSE is as good as buying it from their physical store.

  • I wish DSE sold Nintendo stuff.
Does anyone know of any other eBay stores run by retailers?

    • This seller (As discovered by the gentlemen above for PS4) can be considered retailer and does stock Nintendo stuff at reasonable prices: http://stores.ebay.com.au/thegamesmenau

      • Purchased from Gamesmen ebay and store and they have always been great. I would choose these guys over DSE if they have what you want.

        • What happens if your console breaks? Do you have to ship it back to them at your expense? I do know they have physical stores, but they are few and far between. There used to be one in Melb near me, but long gone now. At least with DSE you know they are everywhere, and will treat you the same as a customer who bought it from their bricks and mortar shop.

  • Where are we buying PS4/XBONE games from? This sellers pretty cool: http://stores.ebay.com.au/Zoowhouse/Playstation-4-PS4-/_i.ht…

    • +1

Yup, once the Best Offer has been agreed to, you can click 'Add to Cart' and checkout where you add the Discount Coupon.

    • Only if agreed to and paid for today I think.

Don't want to get charged full price , anyone know how to do it ? Thank you

    • Proceed to checkout and it allows you to enter the coupon code. Only when you proceed to the payment method do you need to commit to purchase

    • +2

Add item to cart, proceed to cart then add voucher and apply.

    • choose add to cart, not Buy it now.

    • +1

The way i do it is "add to cart" and then "proceed to checkout"

From there I can test the code.

sweet - picked up a PS4 at last

  • I forget the cash back offer any chance I can still get cash back after I purchase by giving them time date and invoice ????

  • Another bike that the code works on, thanks OP http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251527…

    • Nice. I should have checked out others before jumping in.

    • I tried it on a local private listing bike and it works, so I think it works for the whole bike category?

      note: max discount is $200

  • +3

code no longer working on the N5 or Galaxy Note 3. i think the S5 (3G) is still under Toys though.

  • +1

Oh no, all of Kogan's listings are back to normal. BAH.

  • Damn PS4 gonnnnnnnnnnnnne

    • It still says More than 10 available

      • Got it, something was wrong with my paypal account for some stupid reason! Got one! Ahhhh

  • +4

no good wii u deals :(

  • wow, it says 940 sold. it said 75 before.

    • At the start of the sale it showed about 95 of them in an hour even though it took less than 10 minutes for them to initially sell out.
It then changed to show something like 512 of them sold (in total, although some (most) of these had sold at the $499 price prior to this sale starting.)
Impressive effort to be now nearing the 1K mark though.

  • Ps4 to buy or not to buy will it eventually come down to this price anyway with a bundle ?

    • +3

I reckon this is the best price of the year for it , probably next year could fall between 350-400$ with a special offer.

      • I'm gonna wait for a white or red bundle for next year

    • What game do you think it will be bundled with? What price do you think the bundle will be? I can't see it being cheaper than $500 in a bundle. More likely $550. If you buy it for $400, you can buy the game separately for less than the total of buying the bundle.

That is unless you want some limited edition art on the console.

      • Good point thanks

  • Dyson DC animal sticks available under toy section.

Hi I am looking to buy a PS3, what is the best way to go about this?

  • +1

Any tablets on sale samsung or asus???

  • For a brand new genuine Wii U Remote Motion Plus, is that a good price?

    http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=3012495…

  • +23

Cool. Just saved $400 by not buying a ps4, which I would have no decent amount if time to play.

    • +3

But now you may have a consumerism flare up. You know… you'll feel all chuffed that you didn't waste money on something you'll never use, so you deserve to waste even more on some other crap you'll never use.

  • Anyone know if the limit is 5 per ebay account or 5 per paypal account for the discount?

    • +1

And you are going all out.

      • It's not for a ps4 (already have one since launch) there's just a bunch of games i want and if it's only valid 5 times per payal then i'll have to figure out which ones give me the most discount

        • You might be able to add them all to your cart and checkout in one click, and the code might apply to all of them.

  • +5

What is the rush to buy a PS4 or XBONE? Hardly any decent games, and very few that cant be had on PC for a fraction of the price. So far this "generation" of consoles is disappointing to say the least.

    • +1

I always go for the second edition of any new console that comes out. That way any bugs or problems have been sorted out and the prices come down and new games come out as well.

    • +1

Going to agree with this. Even if it's a good saving from RRP there's just no reason for me to buy either of em yet

    • +3

Destiny is 6 weeks away, TLOU 2 weeks, and the PS4 won't be any cheaper.

    • +1

This argument is used a lot. There are no good games out right now, so why not wait until there is?

The answer depends on a few factors. Are you eventually ever going to get it? In other words, do you know of any games in production that interest you and will eventually release? If not, then there's no point getting it now. Or ever.

But if there is eventually going to be something you want to play, then how far out is it? Do you think there will be a price drop by the time it releases? If not, then get it now. You're eventually going to buy it anyway, so you aren't saving any money in waiting, unless there are other things competing for your money right now. Even if all it will do is gather dust until then, you aren't spending money you wouldn't eventually be spending anyway.

If you can get it $400 now, and you eventually intend to own one, may as well get it. Unless you plan to jump in late and the retail price falls below that. The PS4 is doing well though, and I can't see any price cuts within the next 2 years unless Microsoft forces their hand by doing something crazy.

    • +1

Soon enough there will be exclusives for the new consoles. Heck, I've already really enjoyed Dead Rising 3 on the Xbox One. In the mean time many of the games supporting the older generation look better, so considering I was going to get an Xbox One at some point, it allows me to enjoy the benefits earlier on.

My personal view is that for a system that will have a shelf life of 5 - 7 years more likely than not, getting it earlier and spending maybe $100 or $150 move over that period really doesn't add up to a huge amount.

    • i want one, and a hell of a lot of good games are coming out from sept/october onwards… i'd wait and buy one then, but i doubt i'd be able to get it at $400 again anytime soon.

    • For me it's for sports games. EA generally only use the latest engines on the newest generation of consoles. Most people who don't play games like FIFA much won't really notice much of a different, but FIFA 14 (for example) feels a lot different to me on PS3 & PS4.

  • Wtf was about to buy the lg g pro 2 and it's been moved out of the toys category :/

  • Hey guys,

I'm looking for US or AU PSN cards. Any good links from eBay? Someone mentioned about PS+ subscription card from US, however I think that only works to sign up 1 year ps+ via US store NOT AU store. Can someone clarify???

    • The PS+ mentioned before only works for US accounts

  • Just ordered a PS4 for $399.20 and Watch Dogs PS4 (used) for $40 delivered after voucher.

Code works fine for used items in Video Games category too.

  • Expired?

Edit: No, all phones removed from toys section!! :(

    • noticed that with Kogan's Note 3 too. I just realiased Kogan's delivery ETA for it is at least five weeks from today!!

  • There's Asus NEXUS 7 $108 and ASUS TRANSFORMER PAD INFINITY $199 under Video Games - Consoles

Posted someone can I get the link ????

missed out on the kogan phones and not really interested in "toys" :/

  • +1

Why cant phone be in the toys section? we play with our phone all the times LOL

    • Strictly speaking phones have games on them so it should be consider as toy

      • but lots of toys have games on them

      • And phones vibrate too for an adult toy

    • +5

It comes to $494 after disc from your original list of $599!!! No way, Jose! Do you think this is OZschmucks? It's OZBargain where the smart spenders exchange info!

      • +4

It's OZBargain where the smart spenders exchange info!

It's also where people buy things they don't need and never use, because it's cheap.

  • A seller's page says 'reduced shipping on additional items' however ebay checkout isn't loading the additional item postage amount for subsequent items. Do additional items have to be identical to the first for the ebay system to apply the reduced shipping?

    • depends if the reduction is ebay automated, or done manually by the seller when you "request total"

      • I've requested a new invoice. If they don't get back to me today I'll just pay with the coupon and wear the extra shipping.
        Cheers
