    I GOT IT, I'm at sydney CBD… 5hrs of constantly requesting and I get a guy who is on foot. He had a sports bag FULL of tubs. I got a beanie too. Keep trying, everyone! 45min left.

      My delivery guy said 'how many would you like it's $20 for one or $15 for two' I mentioned I had the code he said "oh no problems we can't see if it's free or not. If you have the code, you're good to go". And indeed, I got an invoice for $0.

    This is quite a fail for them, I can't imagine how many people would have signed up for their first experience with Uber only to find

    • They have to hand over their credit card details
    • They probably don't actually deliver to their area (since CBD only wasn't properly advertised)
    • Even if you're in the CBD, the app keeps saying 'requesting' and rejecting you, which makes you wonder how it will work if you actually needed transport (of course it would be different, but for new users these impressions count)

    Can't really be achieving their marketing outcomes from this…

    Just got this email:

    We did our level best to deliver ice cream to everybody who requested it, but many foodies like yourself were left unsatisfied today. 

    Nothing can really replace a taste of Gelato Messina’s Salted Caramel, but we have arranged a $20 Uber voucher for your inconvenience. Maybe a trip to your nearest Gelato Messina store?

      They are a crock of shit. I was on it from the moment it started, they did not attempt at all to go near where my office building was, sure it wasn't the prime center, but why quote CBD if you're not going to fulfil all aspects of it, if they put a disclaimer out then fine, had some friends who got 3 boxes each, because they were just circling the same area and street.
