  • Can you link to where it specifies 2 HDMI inputs please? All documentation I can find on the Kogan KAPVR50XXXA list it as only having 1 HDMI output.

Agree. Product description used above is cr@p.

considering it has 2 HDMI in

      Then further down states

      Number of HDMI ports-3

There is only 1 HDMI port. It is output not input.
Only inputs are antenna and usb2.0

  • can you save the video files on ur pc ?my lg tv has a record function to usb hdds but its specially formatted so you cant keep the files on pc etc

    • Unlikely as not networked.
Record any free-to-air show straight to USB to watch again later. Up to 1TB of storage can be connected (Wow - I have a $50 more expensive but now unavailable PVR with up to 6GB connected via 2 USB.)

Should also be able to copy from PVR to external HDD (max 1GB) via USB, then to PC for editing etc. Without more details or experience with this unit, hard to know.

Seems a basic cheap unit - with very limited documentation for those without PVR experience, and major bugs with recording to internal HDD reported by some.

Major complaint is poor manual - without details of how to record, etc. http://www.productreview.com.au/qa/kogan-twin-tuner-hd-digit…

There are mistakes in those specs.
    See Kogan site

    • I've played with one of these once… Never again…

I love a sad story - details please.

  • Hi Guys,

sorry about the confusion with the specs, there wasn't much information on Master's site,so I got the specs
from a review on the unit https://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/kogan_technologies/pvr…

  • I guess a unit like this goes with the saying, "you get what you pay for"….

Stick to Topfield or Beyonwiz for a PVR and you will be happy.
