Interesting design. Did you guys come up with that yourself?

As in the UK brand Logik or a Chinese generic Logik? Is there a manufacturer's website?

  • Should the commercial blender come with longer than 1 year warranty ?
Any reviews on this blender ?

    • Usually the kind of PRO blender should come with a 5 years warranty.

  • it's selling $118 at ebay.

  • want to buy but can't find the review….

I actually bought this blender earlier this month. I bought it through their ebay site, and paid $128.80 by that time.
I was pretty hesitated as well, and I also can't find any review of it apart from their ebay review.
I didn't even know this type of blender exists until I went to the Sydney food and wine show, and drank the vegi smoothie Vitamix made…. then I was on the hook and searching a lot of information of Vitamix on the net.
Vitamix is expensive ($800) and there are many "similar" looking ones on the market, like Optimum blender ($470), Omniblend ($300). I think Aldi sold one called Kuchef for $100 in earlier June, but it was too late when I found out.
I almost pull the trigger and bought the Omniblend, until I found this one on ebay. I thought I just gave it a go and the worst is lost $128, better than buying a Vitamix to collect dust if I later found out I don't use it often.
After having it for two weeks, I'd like to say I don't regret to pay $28 more to have it earlier, because I actually use it everyday, so far so good. I make nice smoothie for my hubby :)

      • Yes, everyone say vitamix is the best but the price is too high and this one looks almost same with vitamix.

        • I never own a vitamix, so can't compare the two, but this one is not too bad. It blends everything I put into it. But I only blend fruit and veggie smoothie so far. Haven't tried the nuts yet.

I have another clone vitamix (look the same) got it about 9 years ago and we use it several times each day. Our jug got rather discoloured from such volumous usage and we bought a genuine vitamix jug and blade replacement from amazon. It fits like a glove and the newer blades zip nicely too. The salesman said it's such a close clone that all parts fit and the only bit we needed (only for aesthetics) was interchangeable. I think we paid more like $300 at the time too (vitamix were more than $800 back then).

    • That's great idea. I wonder this one also interchangeable with vitamix.

    • May I ask what is the brand name of your clone vitamix? It's very impressive that the main body of the machine lasts more than 9 years and still going strong.

It's a good idea to get a new jar. It's all BPA free now, much healthier.

BTW, the salesman you mentioned above, is he from the company you bought the clone from?

      • Mine is a Tribest, but they never officially had this item. It was from the same factory as vitamix and the guy who was selling them was not allowed to advertise them as they a blatant copy. I looked closely at the various photo angles on this website and it is identical accept for the switches, mine has a timer dial as well, although I have never used the timer. That's for if you want to make soup in it. You put the cold ingredients in it and turn it on, its so powerful that friction will cook the soup in 10 minutes.

Mine is 1350W this one is 2200W Peak power - yikes that sounds like cheap stereos BSing about their power. Depending on how they calculate 'Peak' the true RMS WATTAGE may well be the same as mine.

        The salesman was the importer.

        • Thanks for the reply, ShipShapeRC. I did a google search, but the Tribest blender I can find looks totally different than Vitamix. Do you have a website for me to take a look at?

When you said 'I looked closely at the various photo angles on this website', what website did you referred to?

Add: I bet the 2200W is peak power too. I remember read from somewhere before that Vitamix is well under 2000W (I think it's around 1400W).

BTW, do you know where is your machine made from? I heard Vitamix made in USA, and I can confirm the one I got here is made in China.

        • Yeah as I said it was a secret model - never public - you will not find it. It was hush hush to avoid being sued. For comparison I looked at the tribest on my bench and the many photos on close the deal. Close the deal site also states "2200 Peak Watt Motor".

  • So, what do we think Ozbargain? Assuming I am not going to buy a vitamix, what do we recommend?

    • This looks almost identical to the Aldi Kuchef professional blender that was $99 recently. Probably a rebadge / same factory.

      • This looks like a copy of the Vitamix.
I guess for just over $100 its worth a go if you don't want to pay the premium for a Vitamix.
        Who is the warranty through?

    • @MrDixit

We have a Vitamix and I love it. In saying that I wanted to get this. http://www.froothie.com.au/optimum-9400
But the wife was set on the Vitamix.
I would go the optimum due to the price difference. Would also pay the extra $110 to take the warranty from 5 years to 10 years.

  • Hey Rep, Watts the actually wattage (get it "watts", "what's" err sorry). I could not quite read the legal sticker on the back of the device on the photo on your site. I use mine (other brand but looks identical) so much I'm thinking of getting a second one for when I'm working away from home.

    • +1

yeah, rep, can you tell us the actual rated power (HP/watts) of this machine (as opposed to the peak power)?

      • The legal sticker on the back of the blender states:

Max work power: 1500w or 2200w (this is the 2200w model)
        Motor Power: 3HP (2238w)
        Voltage: 220v/50Hz
        CE approved
        ROHS Approved
        BPA Free Non toxic plastic
        Made in China.

The motor is rated slightly more (2238w) than the peak power (2200w) to ensure it does not burn out or reduce the life time of the motor.

        Hope this helps.

        • Thanks Rep, just bought one. I'll have to build it a carry box in my car now.

          @ShipShapeRC:
Please let us know your vitamin jug and blade can be fit this one or not. Very curious..

        • I want to know too @ShipShapeRC

        • Sorry for double post and auto correction. Vitamix.

          @solpiry:
I will check when it arrives. According to the austpost tracking it has not even been picked up yet, so I doubt I will see during the promotion time frame. Maybe Rep could extend the deal a few more days so I can report on it - sounds like there are a few more purchaser's in the wings waiting… Worth your while Rep?

        • Onboard with driver. Should have it today then!

  • +1

Just arrived. Looks and feels very similar. Mount looks the same. Spindle and spacing guides match up. The genuine vitamix jug sits on the logik spindle a little too much. this could be easily fixed by putting shim under the square rubber base the jug sits on. It would only need to increase the thickness of the rubber by a few mm to clear the spindle. The Logic one fit's nicely on the base of my tribest without modification. Overall a jolly similar clone. The pulse switch is nice to go to full speed quickly is good. The variable speed dial works well.

The rubber lid tops on the jugs look the same but a test fitting showed the diameter of the logik is a couple of mm narrower. I think this is minimal changes to avoid litigation. This unit delivered was only a few dollars more than getting a replacement vitamix jug from Amazon, so really, if you had an issue and it was out of warranty you would just get a replacement logik.

Overall it's pretty good. I expect years of good service from it. Oh and the colour - red make's it go faster!

    • Hi ShipShapeRC
can you please tell us a quick comparison in the performance of the logik to your other blender?
Is it worth getting the Logik?
      Thanks!!

    • Does this blender have metal gears or plastic ones ?

      • Sorry, I'm not going to open it up and void the warranty but I hardly think plastic gears could handle the 3HP motor!

The spindle and spine teeth are metal.

    • Anyone seen Kuchef blender from Aldi ?
That one looks very similar but comes with 5 years warranty.

    • Thanks for your kind review.
What do you mean "colour - red make's it go faster!"? You mean delivery?

      • Errr it's an old joke. Red cars go faster…

  • +1

Having used it a bit now. I must say although it's advertised as 2200W it simply does not have the sheer grunt and torque that my other blender has. I would not call this a clone just a very similar copy. The size is a few mm different here and there and I am sure the full vitamix is a better unit - but not by much. The big difference is price. This thing is a lot blender for the buck. Unless you have a serious need to spend a heap more money I think is pretty good.

    • yeah, 2200W is clearly the MAX output…not the actual sustainable power output. not surprised by your finding…

      • +1

Yeah I'm still happy with it. If I had not used the other for 9 years I would not know any different.
