  • discount price is $4.36

    dunno how much delivery is

    • Delivery is from $9. Although, that may change for the better next week for some states…

      • Should at least bring it in line with Woolies, which is $5 for Sydney, cheers

        • That's for a 6 hour window though, which we don't offer. For 4, 3, 2 and 1 hour windows, I think you'll find we're the same or cheaper. And next week, even more so.

  • I don't see the point if its online only. You would have to be already doing a big shop at coles to make it worth it, Otherwise its cheaper to buy locally.

When coles put the prices up online without telling you the difference and also charge you delivery it doesn't seem worth it at all.

(coles com au) why don't you just charge regular instore prices and then just the actual delivery costs instead of tricking customers?

Otherwise to save money you have to go instore write down ALL the products you want to buy, go on the website, compare all the prices. Then you have to see how money its actually costing you to buy online. Its not fair to customers who think Coles aren't putting the prices up.

Thanks for your comments. There is no price difference for most staple products like fruit, veggies, bread, fresh milk and meat. There may be a small price difference on some other product lines. Catalogue specials, excluding multibuys, are the same online as they are in store.

We believe customers will find coles.com.au prices very competitive relative to any other online grocery service available.

The true value in shopping with coles.com.au is the ease and convenience of the service: Viewing catalogue specials in one place, viewing the running, comparing products by unit price and keeping tabs on impulse purchases - not to mention having your groceries deliverd in a refrigerated truck to your door.

$3 off the pies is a pretty good deal. If you are already buying online with coles, it's a nice little bonus.

      • Yea, still think apples with apples not apples with oranges (no pun intended), cheers

      • Thanks for replying.

I don't agree with "There may be a small price difference on some other product lines"

        Examples:
Coles Smart Buy Meat Pies Frozen 6pk 900g - $3.80
        Normal Price: $3.19

Thats a pretty big difference, I know you need to cover costs to deliver groceries, I just want to know how much extra i'm paying at the end.

I'm sure many people would reconsider getting delivery if they realise its $40 extra (just a guess) for a big grocery shop to get it delivered. They probably think its only costing them $9.

Coles needs to just apply a flat percentage tax to their products, that way customers can have a look and consider weather they should go to the Coles shop or get it delivered.

I can probably mention many many products much more expensive then buying it in the coles shop, but because of Coles, I either have to look at a Catalogue or go into the shop to compare.

While I agree it is a nice little bonus that you get $3 off, I think that many people wouldn't care considering they are paying a huge premium to get it delivered anyway.

And just so I don't sound biased, i'm sure Woolworths do the same as you, Woolworths online shop isn't available in Brisbane so I don't know.
