    • thats the spirit.

    • this month? As in Aug? does it mean you bought another one too today? Ozbargain spirit!!

      • Sorry when I was typing that it was 1st bought it late night 31st.

    how would warranty work?

    • yeah with amazon i assume you can't just walk back into your local jb hi fi or something for an exchange? unfortunate thing about online buying…

  • Has anyone had their order shipped yet? I ordered this along with the Transcend memory card special last Thursday, and my order is still marked as Not yet shipped.

    • mine shipped on 1st August..only had the hdd though..

      • Thanks. Might keep an eye out on the memory card forum then. It is predicting delivery by the 28th, which is the longest I've ever seen for Amazon.

I flipped a coin and chose the $10 shipping option. Bit of a waste and scheduled to arrive next week.

Ordered on 31/07. Shipped on 02/08.

        • mine also shipped on 1 August but now my tracking says "Your package is delayed because of carrier issues" :(

      Mine is in transit

  • Just received mine today. Yay.
    Wasn't due till the 18th.
Item in a padded bubble envelope.
Not the best protection one would think traveling from the other side of the world.

    • Got mine too. Judging by the creases in the packaging I would say the bubble pack is not the best packaging choice.

  • Quick question. Is there any where that says it will survive a knock/drop/etc whilst connected and spinning?

  • Just received mine today (Gf got it at her workplace a few days back). Just wondering how to test for the hard drive being ok, sectors etc not corrupt?

Is all you need a check of the "SMART" data of the hdd? Or given it's a new hdd do you need to use a third party software that can test read/write to the hdd - i got recommended crystal disk, speccy and HD TUNe?

HOw has everyone else tested their newly received transcends?
