  • Castle towers Kathmandu has 1 small in black
Rouse hill Kathmandu has quite a bit of stock. Multiple meds in grey and black and small in grey. I bought a small grey there yesterday.

  • Just received the dispatched email today for one black and one grey Peyto XXL jackets.

    • Cheers. Got my dispatch email this evening, for an M.

    • Delivered :-)

      • I won't see mine until next week being in Queensland. How's the quality like any good?.

        • Unfortunately, it's not in my hands yet, just at my house, will find out later today.

  • Great sale, bought around 10 items for $400, most advertised as reduced from $350. Most of first choice colours now out of stock, must be quicker next time. Nice one OP.

    • No worries. That original $350 price is the RRP.

  • Good news for those looking for the Peyto mens jacket in sizes S or M. The Peyto Carbon mens jacket now has size S & M back in stock. Still priced at $49.99.

I guess they found some out the back of the warehouse.

  • Got mine today and very happy with it so far.

I was starting to get worried with all the people saying it would be average. I think for $120 it might be average, but that for $60 delivered it's a bargain.

    • I'm getting two jackets for $99.98 delivered because i ordered two and added a cap for $5 extra to the cart to get over the $100 free shipping mark. Two jackets for around $100 is a bargain.

  • Now that I've had a chance to try it on…

I'm very happy with this jacket. The Carbon has a kind of 2-tone look that I wasn't expecting, but it's nice. The pics didn't show this, or I hadn't noticed.

The M fits me well, though the sleeves are just a tad long. I can actually fit a thin jumper underneath (with a shirt / tshirt under that), which is great for winter in Melbourne.

The jacket has a good feel to it inside and out and so far provides good warmth (even with only 1 undergarment). I've only ventured outside briefly, in the current 10c here.

The zip pockets are cool, very handy & a bonus third zip pocket on the chest actually fits a smartphone or mp3 player nicely. There's even a slot to route your headphone cable through the inside.

For reference, the chest pocket fits a Nexus 5, with not much room to spare.

All in all a great buy :-)

    • Yup you can see from the pic of the grey jacket that's there's 2 tones to that one too. I'm getting both a Carbon and a Grey jacket. Should be good going by the feedback. :)

Just these jackets are best worn for urban outdoor use it's probably what they're mostly designed for.

      • i kinda disagree with nismo.

its ok but at best, its an $80 jacket

the $349 tag is just insulting, no one would pay $100 let alone what they reckon its worth

i got an XXL and its a size too small for me and I'm just under 180cm weigh about 75kg and would be classed as slim so perhaps they run on banggood sizes

otherwise its ok quality and the pockets and zips are good

        for $60 delivered its ok

i doubt you would survive a night in canberra (-5c) with this let alone anything rigorous

        • Fair enough tonyjzx

After that long blurb of mine & further wearing I've reconsidering things..

Since I never made a comment about the value (based on what we paid), I would probably say it's a good buy rather than a great one.

After wearing it out for a couple of hours today, I found the collar quite annoying, rubbing / banging on my neck (if it's not fully zipped up).

I still think the sizing is right for me, but I have lost 8-10 kg in the last 8-10 months, so I'm kinda new to M.

M is a snug fit for me but the right size. I'm currently 72.5kg & 171cm.

        • Perhaps there's not a lot of difference as the sizes go up?

At your dimensions XXL being too small doesn't sound quite right.

        • @nismo:

Or maybe they accidentally sent him the wrong size and he hasn't realised it?.

        • This is the Kathmandu men's sizing chart. XXL is listed on there as 2XL. It says it's based on actual body measurement.

          http://www.kathmandu.com.au/articles/Mens-Size-Chart.html

        • tag clearly says 2xl

problem is this, if you wear a singlet then a shirt, then a vest and then this jacket

          its tight

isnt that normal for this kind of use? the sleeves are just about the right size

surely they dont expect a avg. height and slim build as 2xl?

        • @tonyjzx:

Gee no wonder. Three different sets of clothes including a vest before you even put the jacket on. No wonder it's tight.

        • @hollykryten:
2 layers fit easily enough under mine. Don't think I'll try 3 though.

  • Got mine, tried this morning in syd,
With a tshirt and cotton sweater under felt warm and sheltered well from cold wind.
The inside material is warm while the outside stop the wind completely in core area

I find it well manifactured and very good for 60aud, real rpm will say 140, and 80 or 90 in a normal sale down.

I got L, afraid of lenght and lucky I did,

    Pretty happy with it, thanks.

  • Got mine today and it doesn't quite fit a bit tight but they're XXL. Oh well will need to go on a diet. It looks like it's good quality. For $50 each can't complain.

  • Its warm and nice pockets but its a bit "fobby"… looks a bit like something you would get from a flea market…
But it would be perfect under another jacket.

  • bought this jacket in grey few weeks back, the fitting is nice, it totally makes over your shape 110% better, warm, comfy and light, however i found the size to be slightly different eg. XL feels like L ( maybe just the fitting that acts like "fat burner" to shave your round edges ) .

    • I think they must be chinese sizes.
