        By that time, the 2Tb SSDs would have hit $422.58 USD delivered and you'll just be waiting for the 4Tb version. There is never an end to this.

        not really, at the moment all the drives im looking to replace are my ps3, ps4 and laptop…. all came with 500gb slow speed disk drives, yeah could whack in a 480gb ssd to speed it up but in the last 6 months managed to half fill most of these drives so an upgrade for speed and to double capacity across the board 1tb will be plenty.

        Just a waiting game until they hit the right price and dealing with slow drives until.

        So when you think about it 1tb SSD is the only real practical upgrade.

      Not likely. Even though 8GB thumbdrives are $5 a pop, most businesses are still giving out drives lesser than 4GB.

      Rather, I can't wait when low cost mainstream laptops stop packing in slow 5400RPM drives and start using SSD's as the factory default option.

    Why? This is MLC, while the Samsung 840 EVO is TLC (worse endurance).

    OTOH, if it were Samsung 3D flash…
