Jeanswest contacted me today offering OzBargain users an exclusive offer of 20% off full priced items. They created a specific landing page (in main link), and here's the blurb:

As a OzBargain Shopper, we’re giving you 20% off your order when you enter the promo code below at checkout:

OB20AUGUST2014

With hundreds of product already online and loads more arriving we’re sure there will be something to take your fancy. But be quick, your code is only valid until Sunday, 10 August 2014.

Terms and conditions:

*Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or sale items and is an Australia Only promotion. *20% off all full price items online only, excludes other offers and promotions and is an Australia Only promotion. Expires Sunday, 10 August 2014

While I appreciate their effort of offering OzBargain-exclusive coupon code, their previous 50% off Sale Items and 40% off Store Wide are probably better. There's also 5% cashback from CashRewards (and up to 4.88% off from StartHere).

Mod: Thanks to nismo, there's also free shipping available 'for a limited time'. Shipping is usually $9.95 for orders under $75.

their previous 50% off Sale Items and 40% off Store Wide are probably better.

Yeah… considering their frequency, I'd probably just hold out for a bigger discount. Interesting that they've gone to the effort, though.

  • Ahh the wicked jeans

  • Jeanswest's jeans leak colour. I've had several phone covers turn from clear to green in a matter of months.

dont put your cover in the wash

      • I know what he means, my white Galaxy S3 cover turned blue-ish with their jeans.

jeanswest jeans are terrible quality. they loose colour even in a cold wash. They loose their charm pretty soon.

    • +1

      at least they have charm

    • yeah not a big fan of their jeans, seem cheap. Jackets are good though.

while it is better than nothing, 20% off full price charged by Jeanswest is nothing to be excited about. A pair of the jeans will still cost $56, hardly Ozbargain prices :)

  • Bought a jacket and two t-shirts during the 50% off sale. When it comes to jeans, Kmart $16 jeans actually fair pretty well. Good range, nice distressed look and they've lasted the past year so far. Personally, wouldn't spend over $30 for a pair of jeans..

  • They have 40% off sales almost every two months.

  • It made it on the front page because Scott posted it?

    • My thoughts are that, if OzBargain members support it, then the retailer might come back again in future, with bigger &/or better deals ;-)

      • if OzBargain members support it,

Not 20%, at least I won't buy it at a low discount rate.

        Will buy if 40-60% off.

        • By support, I mean vote, if it wasn't obvious.

  • Good on them for making it an OzB exclusive coupon, but this one hardly qualifies as a deal. They have 40% off sales every other month which is usually valid for even sale items.

I like Jeanswest and prefer their jeans to a lot of other companies out there, but this is not a great bargain.

edit: what are the alternatives to JW for those who don't like their jeans? i have a couple of JW jeans and happy with their quality.
