    wow….

never seen the site before though

They are legit. Purchased my LG Optimus 4x HD from them last year. They use Toll IPEC for freight but Toll service is extremely poor… they didn't bother knocking on my door because I live on the fourth floor and they simply carded me while I was at home.

    • Also got the LG 4xHD from them. Legit shop, no issues.

      dafuq are you on about

Nexus 5 came out last year and snapdragon 800 was the flagship of the time

The earliest flagships to ship with 801 was the S5 which only came out earlier this year

Just because Qualcomm announces a chip doesnt mean shit unless you see devices on shelves that actually have it installed. Only then does it count as being "released" until then its vapourware

Going by your statement 805 is over a year old too. Just hold your breath mate, you might live long enough to see the 850 processor too

You know nothing John Snow…'s balls

      • Just because Qualcomm announces a chip doesnt mean shit unless you see devices on shelves that actually have it installed. Only then does it count as being "released" until then its vapourware

FWIW, the 805 is in a retail device; the South Korea-only Galaxy S5 and LG G3 LTE-A models. Agreed with the rest of your comment though. Qualcomm have announced their ARMv8 based SoC's, and they'll release when they're damn well ready. This doesn't mean everything preceding the architecture revision is bad.

      • 801 is same as 800 and came out early 2013

Earth to Aeoz, I think Inose was joking

Sell it before it dies and use the proceeds toward the new phone.

      • Luckily, my wife is happy with my hand-me-downs! And that's after 2-3 years use :D

Don't think my NoteII will be accepted though :(

    • +3

my S2 is still the killer :p

      • +2

same here, hope it would die already.. hope it didnt hear that..

Can also vouch for NoWorries. Bought Optimus 4X HD also from them last year and got it in two days. Brilliant company and decent prices :)

    • +13

is that like.. the only phone they sell or something

  • Tempting but my G2 works perfectly ……. Wish I had an excuse to snap one up

    • +6

G2 is still an excellent phone! keep it =].

      • +1

And with the two G3 ROMs available for it, you can get all the G3 goodness on a G2!

        • Shall be heading over to XDA to find this.

          Currently running stock 4.4 rooted.

        • @gryphn:

CloudyG3 has double the amount of forum posts and apparently has less bloat, give it a try! It's what I'm using. Very stable too.

        • @93_infinity: Link?

          Definately worth the root? (hehe)

        • :P Absolutely. You get the updated G3 interface which sports a cleaner look and a proper multitask button. Plus the G3 goodies. Other non G2/G3 roms for the G2 just don't measure up in terms of battery life, in my experience.

    • The missus has my G2 maybe that'll get handed down/back to me when the iPhone 6 comes out..

this phone is insane, it's more powerful than my computer and has 4 times the resolution of my TV.

    • +8

Gimmicks. Screen kills the battery life and lowers the brightness. The screen has artificial sharpness to enhance the screen. You won't notice any difference between a 1080p display. With that said, this is an awesome price for a flag ship phone.

  • -6

You must have an old pc for this phone to be more powerful than it.

    • -6

The raspberry pi is more powerful than a 3 year old computer.

      • +1

        That… no… Definitely not.

      • You are comparing apples and oranges. Obviously people fall for the marketing. :)

        • +5

More like Apples and Radpberry's :)

      • +3

        http://www.raspberrypi.org/help/faqs/#performanceSpeed

Copy pasted from the Rbpi website.

The GPU provides Open GL ES 2.0, hardware-accelerated OpenVG, and 1080p30 H.264 high-profile encode and decode.

The GPU is capable of 1Gpixel/s, 1.5Gtexel/s or 24 GFLOPs of general purpose compute and features a bunch of texture filtering and DMA infrastructure.

This means that graphics capabilities are roughly equivalent to the original Xbox’s level of performance. Overall real world performance is something like a 300MHz Pentium 2, only with much, much swankier graphics.

  • +2

Beware this is the 2G RAM model. G3 also has a 3G RAM model.

    • +1

Only the 32GB version has 3GB RAM which is an additional $60.

Meh, absolutely loving my LG G Pro 2 from the eBay kogan deal at $350…

I am sticking to the last gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. This is my third phone with this CPU. It's more than enough to run the current android butterly smooth. I really don't think there is any need for even more powerful CPU until next big android update.

These days a lot of people are too hung up on "the latest and the fastest" spec. Yes it's fast, yes it has countless pixels, yes you probably can swear to god that you can tell the difference (speed or screen). However, the difference is just so marginal, I can't find any justification to spend literally double to get anything beyond the already powerful Snapdragon 800.

Dont get my wrong, I love the latest and greatest. I used to buy almost every flagship phone when they came out, but it's because in the past 2 years, almost every new CPU generation and new flagship had made somehow significant difference and improve user experience by a considerable amount.

But at the moment, I'm just not very convinced by these current gen CPUs (805 or 801) nor the flagship phone….

Having said all that, good price though, good price indeed.

You know what would be nice? If companies such as LG, Apple & Samsung would divert some resources into developing better battery technology. The amount of people that have to carry around stupid portable battery charges is starting to get ridiculous (personally I don't have to worry about it, my Motorola Maxx has a massive battery).

      • +4

the LG G2/G3, and the Galaxy S5 have stellar battery life.

        • lithium polymer is still crap.

We need an answer fast for the oncoming 4G onslought.

        • Agreed, I had a LG G2 before and it was brilliant in that regard too.

Personally, for my usage (heavy user) and my situation (almost always get to charge my phone before I go to bed), as long as the battery can last a full day, it's happy day and many recent released phones are just doing that if not better.

        • I finally got what I expected from a modern phone, but it took a NoteII to deliver it. Amazing life, but a large battery (and phone). If I can't get a full day of real usage, it's useless IMO.

      • +1

Yeah I agree with inose, they did develop good battery life in recent releases. My g2 lasts 2.5-3 days with moderate use, twice as long as my last flagship phone. Big changes since the galaxy s4 generation, though they were a long time coming..

        • With removeable batteries in the g3 you can always carry 2 which is handy

    • +1

+1. Someone on Snapdragon 800 has no reason to upgrade to a phone with 801 or 805, not unless there's some other reasons (software, camera, screen, etc).

And 1440p is just overkill which is causing some stutter on this LG G3.

    • your comment is true but is misguided

Its only correct because this year for the first time, they failed to deliver a better processor

the 805 and 801 are essentially minor improvements to the 800 processor

So like i bought a note 3 because the 801 and 805s are not worth a $400 premium for an incremental update

however the 850 is a decent jump

      • +1

… That's pretty much what he said

Also there's no such thing as a Snapdragon 850.

Not the cheapest out there $538 with free delivery

    http://www.t-dimension.com/revamp/2010-06-26-2009-01-01-c-14…

I purchased the 32GB Korean phone from there, bought it Monday and was in my hands Wednesday

    • The posts to their facebook page by others look VERY spammy, and that website isn't based in Australia at all. I think I'd rather spend $20 extra for peace of mind knowing that I'm dealing with an Australian company with proper Australian consumer law and whatnot protecting me, rather than some no-name hong-kong based company.

Also I believe noworries uses Australian stock (already imported, no doubt it is grey import of course), so they aren't really comparable. I may be wrong on this however.

      • +2

So no worries is Australian company and not just a drop shipper? Does this price include GST?

Edit: whilst t-dimension may not be known to you they are well known in the whirlpool forum and have over 40000 user feedback on ebay

      • +2

No worries are selling grey stock according to their website

      • +3

No Worries might actually just drop ship from the same provider T-Dimension bought theirs. I actually had some email conversation with the owner of T-Dimension (Derek) a while ago, but I have no idea who runs No Worries.

        • Looking at their privacy policy for no worries. They are owned by M2 Group who also own several Telco/ISP's.

      • My mistake then everyone, it's just I'd never heard of t-dimension and it seemed kind of.. strange. I guess it's probably just as safe as noworries, if not safer :) Doesn't hurt to be skeptical I guess.

    • Seeing how T-dimension also got a good rep. You might want to post this as a deal as well. If you dont wanna i ll post it.

  • +4

They are both grey importers, you may as well go for the cheapest price. T-Dimension has a reasonable reputation.

  • This or a 64gb 1+1 (if I'm able to source one)?

    • +1

This. Unless you really need the storage, I'd pick the G3; better display and from a trusted manufacturer.

      • Storage is relatively important, but this has sd card support though correct?

I have a fair music collection I keep on my phone for the car or for the gym via Bluetooth. I also looked at the g2 just before with the hope of saving a few $ but with no sd card support that is out.

For reference I'm upgrading from a galaxy s3, so most phones will be a big step up (although I'm giving the s5 a miss). I don't have a great need to get the newest and greatest, but have the budget for it if I decide to.

        • It does, but I'd always put internal storage above expandable, especially with the recent changes. It should be possible to make your music collection accessible by copying/pasting from your PC to your music app's folder on the SD card, but I honestly don't know if that's how it works in practice. There's always some of those root fixes if that fails, I suppose. Might be worth researching further.

        • @ProspectiveDarkness:

That's exactly how I've always done it, the file system is simple with the sd card having a MUSIC folder and everything goes into it. My music apps on the phone know where to look for music and the library is updated as soon as anything new goes in there.

        • +1

          @linton:

the file system is simple with the sd card having a MUSIC folder and everything goes into it.

I haven't messed around with SD cards since the revision, but I don't think that's how it works anymore. Each app can only access its own folder on the SD card, or so I've been lead to believe. So there probably won't be a universal music folder like there used to be, making it a bit less predictable as to which app can read what from where. If my understanding is correct, you'll have to pick a specific music app, find its directory on the SD card (don't know if they are explicitly labelled or not) and hope it knows to read music from that directory. I might be making mountains out of molehills (doesn't help that most people commenting on the matter just bitch about Google 'screwing up' their SD cards instead of talking about what actually is or isn't possible anymore), so…

        • @ProspectiveDarkness:
That is only for apps that are not standard on the phone ( you got a 3rd party app). The normal camera ,music etc apps from the manufacturer or google work fine.

T dimension or dwi are better than this !!

  • -1

They are legit according to my friends who bought from them before, and you can use NWDODO2014 for free delivery.

    • +1

      Code appears invalid?

  • isn't the one plus one a better buy atm?

  • The code for free shipping doesn't work…

    • It seem the code is not for valid for this phone. If you want the phone just buy it from T-dimension. Cheaper plus free delivery anyway.

  • I'm a bit of a noob, what does grey import really mean? Will it work with Australian sims?

    • it will work, it just means warranty or support pain, or the lack thereof
