Whatever the reason such claims of large purchases will never go down well on here especially when the stock is limited.

I missed this one but not disappointed. My son has heaps of these cars. Some are much better quality than others. Matchbox cars are great quality strong and lasts.
These are rubbish where the wheels will fall off, can easily bend and lack any detail. Also many of the cars are exactly the same just different color.

    • And they last about twenty minutes in the bath before the axles start to rust!

  • Thanks dude

I received on of these as a gift when I was younger. They are the most cheaply made pieces of crap toy cars I've ever used.

The real question is though DaftFather, does that REALLY matter, at this price?

      • -1

I find the negs for daring to suggest that at 20 cents per car (metal body, I'm led to believe), perhaps "build-quality" is not a central concern/expectation…

I'm thinking kids party, fun-fest building an enormous mud-track/model garage etc… you could have quite a bit of fun with 25 little metal cars, even if the build-quality wasn't great. Sometimes a lack of financial investment is a bit of a blessing, because it means you can do "crazy" (read "kid-like") things with them (involving great heights, rings-of-fire, make-shift mini "pressurised car-washes" etc. (—->apply the use of your own imagination here, if you still have one<—-) without any guilt…

Anyways, no worries "Match-box" sticklers… have fun reclining sedately while gazing wistfully at a glass-case in your "study", containing some faded cardboard boxes, that in contain (supposedly?) some wee cars that would probably be fun to play with (or even look at?), if only anyone was ever allowed to.

I'll be out the back with my kids, mashing these HN babies up every way we can think of!
It may be a "once only" event, but it will be a fun-fest to be remembered!

        Shame you forgot ;-P

These use to be like $3 in bargain stores in the days. If they were a set of hot wheels I would of jumped on this deal.
