All our Leica products are purchased through Leica Australia, and in the rare event of a fault, they are sent back to the factory in Germany for repair/service! You're paying more than you pay for a grey import (although not much more with this deal!) but it's 100% worth it to guarantee brand new, fully approved Leica stock!
I won't bother having my Leica repaired. Just toss it and go buy a new one.
Given the high build quality of Leica cameras I'd be shocked if it ever broke, but if that's the path you want to go down you're my new favourite customer!
When you buy a Leica it's to show that you own a Leica, not to use it. Doesn't matter whether it works or not.
@furyou: I think there are some avid Leica photographers out there who would disagree! But surely some people who would agree too ;)

The Germans are good with the casing, but not with the electronics unfortunately.

Otherwise just fish an A7 body while you still can, claim the metabobes and shoot Leica lens on the A7.
