The first example is Sony Xperia Z2 16gb for $500 (much like s5 deal last time).

EDIT - The Z2 deal was from their facebook page. Last time they released a few but some where surprises.

The Samsung S5 sold pretty quickly but they have 500 or so from memory. Also I believe they were grey imports from kogan if that helps. Correct me if I am wrong :)

      most were disappointed thinking eBay saved the juiciest deals for last. deal #11 was for a blue dinosaur and pink unicorn pillow pet, deal #12 was some non-stick cookware.

      If anything to go by, it would all be broken seal phones running in Chinese or non-english languages as reported by some s5 people who got theirs.

      Try coming to the after-party that will be held on OzBargain's Mobile forum. Lots of salty tears will be on display as their Z2 phones cannot handle the thermal expansion caused by hot running processes, leading to the infamous hairline cracks also seen on the Xperia Z and Z1. Furthermore Sony Australia has denied this as a manufacturing defect and has repeatedly put the blame on the consumer.

      Just go with Samsung, HTC or Apple.

    So just to confirm from the title page the z2 will be a grey import and not a local stock? so then any warranty issues have to be handled with the o/s returning process?

    is this hairline cracks on screen issue with z2's as bad as the above posters keep going on about, or just a minority raving on about it?

      I guess you'll have to make the decision yourself whether to buy the phone and risk it self-cracking. If it does self-crack, then you're all on your own as Sony Australia is putting the blame on us.

          Pretty sure Sony hasn't established themselves yet as the premium phone maker to charge what Samsung and Apple are pricing their flagship phones.

          You'll have to research whether Sony had changed screen materials. Hopefully the upcoming Z3 doesn't share the self cracking problems as the Xperia Z2, Z1 and Z.

      $500 is pretty good for Z2, at the moment.

      However, Z3 is incoming, so I'd expect the price for Z2 to keep dropping.

      I would hold out for the next iphone if you like the apple ecosystem. The new note will be coming out soon if you like phablets. The new nexus is sounding promising too. Depends how desperate you are for a new phone too. The z2 has one of the best cameras on a smartphone, fast internals and has a beautiful display and a crisp ui over android.
