Note I got 2, but only ordered one..
Interstingly one shipped with Startrack the other with AAE. Some issue with their shipping allocations and one got allocated to each stream? Who knows. All I know is I now have a spare chromecast. lol
Yup, got two also. Both Startrack. One came locally (Brisbane), the other from Sydney.
Called them to return the second one.I thought about doing the same, as I have no need for a second one, but figure at $34 it's not worth their time to process, let alone my time to arrange the return.

None of my tracking numbers actually work (three other items) … So I think it's just dick being dick. I'm sure that it will come eventually.
Well I have no faith with dick, he has been so unreliable with me. 2 out of my last 3 orders never were delivered. You don't want to dealing with their customer service, it's a joke. Waste hours on a phone to have someone redirect you somewhere else. Stupid me gave them another chance and now my tracking number shows nothing, so what's the bet dick doesn't delivers again?

OMG, I also just received a second one for free (the first was delivered this morning). Will make a nice gift. Thank you Dick! (But I'll be keeping an eagle eye on you just in case you double charge me. Edit: I used a gift card, so I suppose there's no chance of that.)

Did any of these lot get separate tracking details? I received 2 emails with tracking details, first on 17/8 second on 19/8, different Startrack tracking numbers, both still with status from 18/8 of "Consignment Events - Freight Manifest Transmitted" and "Article Events - Notified".
I would have expected some kind of further tracking status update by now - maybe mine just went to someone else …

Poor poor Dick, something seriously broke in their system. Looks like lots of people (me included) are getting 2 units for the price of one.
I got 2 units, delivered on 2 different days, via two different courier companies.
OK, this is entering WTF territory. I just received a third one for free today.
I'm flying out of the country tomorrow, and I'm getting visions of my doorstop being flooded with Chromecasts when I get back. :P

edit* ok i just checked my letterbox and startrack left a card for me. It is either my logitech speakers (which i was told today is still at the depo) or it is another chromecast!
Back from my trip. No more Chromecasts to report. :P
I bought one, and got an email on Monday that it was shipped. It's now end of Thursday, and the tracking link only just showed its first update, which says that the manifest was only received today! Is this normal behaviour from DSE, or was one of those duplicate chromecasts in the comments above supposed to be mine? :) Anyway, I emailed them to let them know about this discrepancy with the shipping and to double check that everything is fine with my order.
edit: emailed before I read this thread, otherwise I would probably have waited a bit longer in hope for a 2 for 1 deal :P less likely now with my order under scrutiny

Just called DSE and Startrack about my order, as I had been sent two tracking numbers but no chromecast. Startrack hadn't received anything other than the shipping details and DSE claimed it was already dispatched.
Got them to triple check with Startrack and their warehouse. Just received three convoluted invoices for it, so hopefully it is on its way! Would recommend calling up if you haven't yet received your order.
Three invoices? Maybe you'll receive three like me! Fingers crossed you'll receive at least one. :P
I'm amazed at the general incompetence on display here, by a company the size of DSE.
The Startrack woman I spoke to said she'd had 10 calls today about order stuff ups for DSE items bought a week ago.
They must have something seriously wrong with their order management system.
Ps. Three would be awesome! Shame the invoices don't quite seem to show that (more likely to show a $120 refund!).

I filled in the contact us webform on Sunday; got two invoices this afternoon with emails saying "Your order has been picked. Your order will be dispatched today", then a bit later this email:

Got the same email back re replacement. But no new invoices.
Got a call this evening to give me my new consignment number, sounds like they are genuinely trying to fix it.
I got a start track consignment number the very next day of the order. But star track website had no details about it. Contacted DSE and they told order status is actually "Ready for dispatch". Waited another week and called them yesterday. They said they are waiting for stock.. Got an email in the evening saying that the order is cancelled… Expecting more twist and turns.. The classic DSE online experience..
Finally a use for the free $20 Masters/WISH gift card* I got from that New Year's promotion they ran. :P
