Number 1 Amazon Best Seller in Safety Goggles & Glasses.
4.1/5 average star reviews.

Amazon have these at 33% off (52% with update above) and although they have been slightly cheaper in the past, they are a deal when compared to Bunnings who are selling them for $36.91. Although I'm not sure why anyone would pay that as these seem just as good?

The next best online price I could find was from Fishpond for $19.97 which are also shipped from the US.

Note: The price shown is when using using 28 degrees MasterCard (or similar) paying in US dollars.

Also available in Smoke tint for $17.67. Choose Amazon as the seller from here - thanks for the pick up Wolfy. ($34.91 at Bunnings)

Lastly, if you are after some decent ear protection, Australian Health & Safety Supplies have these 27dB noise reduction rated earmuffs for $13.95 (ex-GST). A few months ago and again today I successfully had them price matched at Bunnings for $12.56. Not bad when they have them for $19.90. Not worthy of its own post as Bunnings should be taking into account delivery and GST possibly(?), but they have never questioned it on either occasion.

          @mskram:

          Sooo is that a yes?

      • +4

Not not like that jv! You put goggles in the sock, not sock on your head which won't do anything. Furthermore, goggles won't protect you when looking at dodgy websites on your computer.

        Dan: I don't believe so.

        @jv "Use a sock."

        That's what she said

And you didn't think to share it with us all then?

      • +3

Twas and still is normal price. Would have been torn apart here.

  • What is the purpose of these, over ordinary safety glasses? Making repairs to the ski lodge?

    • +7

Useful in dusty envionments to have extra seal.
Good deal and excellent description Oldbugger.

      • +1

A very sugary addition, many thanks Wiggam. I cancelled my order and got this one.

      • Thanks got one at this price.

    • These would of been a godsend if I had them a couple of weeks back when I was doing home renovation. The cheap ones you buy at bunnings fogs up big time when you use a mouth mask.

  • "Also available in Smoke tint for $17.67 ($34.91 at Bunnings)"
Amazon tells me that they will not ship these ones to me in Australia.

    • +1

Choose Amazon as the seller from here. Sorry, unsure why it changed to another seller in the link. Updated, cheers

  • Something tells me that seller stuffed up the shipping. Hurry up and buy! Professionals, start your engine!!!!!

I bought these about a year ago for around $9 off Amazon. If you have a big head like me, they aren't gonna fit well as there isn't much give in the frame so the rubber doesn't sit close in the middle (near the nose). Also, they aren't that anti fog, don't expect miracles.

    • Nothing helps with body heat and sweat. Not even safety glasses with all the air they allow to circulate are immune to that, let alone goggles.

      • +1

As suggested in Amazon comments, make any glasses fog free. Get a bit of bar soap (ordinary plain non scented!), rub it inside the lens, then wipe with a soft cotton until clear.

        • -1

No thanks. Sweat, and dry soap near your eyes is not a winning combo IMO. Good idea if you dont sweat though.

        • +1

surely you can just use a sock?

        • +1

@Tuba: Hmm.. I guess soap mixed with sweat could explode

        • -3

So you've never seen sweat build up along the frames, or on your cheek where the lens of frameless pairs sit? Dont work hard enough?

        • @Tuba: He is probably not overweight enough to sweat that much

  • +1

DeWalt makes concealer now? That's what you call diversifying!

My goggles arrived yesterday, but I noticed the lens was scratched in one spot in front of left eye. It looks like the goggles rubbed against the plastic packaging - possibly during transport.
Contacted Amazon rep via chat & a replacement pair is already on the way to me! They've also sent it expedited, so should get them even quicker.
You can't ask for better customer service then that!

    • Thanks for the update. Great service.

    • Update: Replacement Goggles arrived on Tuesday, 9th September.
This time they arrived in perfect condition.
Yet again fantastic service by Amazon.

  • For those that have missed out or would rather get it locally, try getting your nearest Bunnings to price match Fishpond.com.au at $19.97.

With Bunnings' "price guarantee" they'll beat it by 10%, bringing the price down to $17.97

  • Might be an idea for those of us who ordered off the cheaper guy.

    • +2

I'm guessing no one has received their order from this seller - he has now received his first feedback… which is negative. Just chatted with Amazon and claims can be filed 3 business days after the delivery window expiry date (which for me is Tuesday). Go to My Orders —> File/View Claim. Don't bother contacting the seller as you will get this reply:

We are sorry to let you know that your email(s) below cannot be delivered. The recipients have decided to leave the Amazon.com platform or are not eligible to receive any further email communications.

      • +1

        Thanks for the heads up.

Amazon chat rep just filed a claim for me. Said I'd get the refund in a week.

        • +1

Update: just contacted amazon via chat again and pasted that email response to them asking if the claim can be started now. They accepted and the funds should be back in my card within a week.

  • Thanks alot Oldbugger for info and detailed instructions - Submitting claim.

Disappointing for my dust filled eyes…

    • No worries. On a plus side, the situation reassured me about Amazon's customer service. On another note, the deal still exists using Amazon as the seller. Or you could just use something free like this
