    "Assuming it's V2"

It's not. A simple check of the specs would tell you that.

      Tenga 3 is V1 aka 2012

Screen resolution is the most obvious way for me to check 1280x800 vs 1920x1200

  • Its V1

  • Yeah pay a bit more and get 2013 version or the GPad.

    For HN,it is price error.

    Love my recent refurb 2013 32Gb Nexus 7 from Wireless1 for only $159 :)

    • Ditto

  • This is not a good deal. This tablet is really old and slow now and will not likely be receiving anymore updates.

    • its about price.
although it would be stupid not to pay extra and get 2013 if you have the cash. For some people the saving may be worth it.

i still have a nexus 7 2012 which is working well. it would still serve many well and will probably be more uptodate than many non google devices.

And I negged because of the price. You should not be paying this much for this. You even used the word "stupid". I still like my Nexus 7,but I paid this much for it a year ago.

    • I was negged for similar comment elsewhere. 'Doesn't matter if the product is crap, if it's a "bargain", post it here' or words to that effect….

      • i think you should suggest a better tablet for the price if you want to say the deal is bad.

        • +3

          Because I think it's not a bargain I need to supply a replacement? It's OzBargain, not OzBestProductForThisPrice…

For the record I'm not currently saying this is a bad deal. However I also got one of the $159 2013 refurb versions which I think is a much better deal.

There's plenty of tabs that come in at similar price to this but are arguably better. Tabs like the Acer Iconia A1-830 that offers around double the performance can be had for $168 or $139 after cashback. http://www.dicksmith.com.au/tablets-accessories/acer-iconia-…

    Here's a review:

    • If you ignore the fact that the display comes nowhere near matching the Nexus 7 [2012], I'm not sure where you'd get the ` double performance' from. Your'e comparing a dual core Atom against the Quad tegra3 with associated GPU. Comparing the Acer against my 2012 Nexus the Acer is jerky and the graphics grainier, tho the screen is a little larger. Acer would have maybe just pipped it for me if they had kept their HDMI port, but they ditched it and didn't bother with MHL.

Wireless 1 are selling this same [32 gig] tablet re-furbished for $1 more, and probably moving a few - I found everything about this tablet felt better and smoother than the Acer, tho bnoth knocked the sad little HP offering with its Allwinner 31s [as found in many no-name Yum-cha's] into a cocked hat. That said, I managed to price-match it to $150, a price Isuspect it may go to again come the end of the month…

Both the Nexus 7's are reported be getting the L release.

      • I've owned the 2012 version and a tab with the exact intel atom chip used in the Acer. And there's no comparison in between the two when it came to performance. The Tegra chip has lower ipc than the intel chip and quad core is just marketing gimmick on android. The Intel chip is in general offers performance closer to the s4 pro in the 2013 version of the nexus 7. For instance when I try a game like asphalt 8 on the nexus 7 2012, you'd have to turn the detail down to low, where on the Intel processor I could run asphalt 8 on high details setting in full hd. All you have to do is compare the benchmarks at the end of the day.

The nexus 7 2012 when sold at around $100 is a good deal, closer to $200 not worth it. Same with that Acer tab too, which has been sold at less than $100 too.

  • This device is so old and price is so high :/
