  Don't buy refurbished, krups Coffee machines. Will not last 6 months i have had three of these all develop some other issue, just out of warranty. These units have generally made many thousands of cups, broken down and then zeroed and cleaned up to be resold as lemons aka refurbished. Unless you get 12 months or greater warranty, buy new it will be cheaper in the end.

  3 months warranty in generally all you'll get; not enough time to test reliability. stay clear unless you get a 12 month warranty and have made over 1000 cups in a year. Mark my works they will fail around the 1000 cup mark. which is less than 3 cups per day.

  I don't know, to me $499 is too much to pay for a refurbished coffee machine that retails for $1299. The fact that it's under RRP doesn't really make it a bargain (because its refurbished. Of course its going to be way under RRP).

  Although this seems like a good price, I brought one of these reconditioned models and it kept jamming the grinded beans repeatedly basically from day 1, the only way to clear the problem was to pull the whole machine apart.

  I tried to find someone to service the unit with no luck. After 6 months it completely jammed up and would no longer work. I then found someone interstate to service the unit only to find it was going to cost more then $300 to fix with no guarantee that the grinds would not get jammed again as this was a common problem with this unit.

  I have since purchased a Delonghi which is fantastic, though twice the price of this machine it came with a 5 year warranty, a local service agent and no clogged grinder.

  These come with a 3 month warranty backed by Krups.

  As these are a new client for us - I can offer no feedback on how well these have been refurbished - but rest assured WE stand by all of the items WE sell.

  We had one of these. Broke after 13 months, the "distributor". 4 months to have repaired, Krups kept sending wrong part to repairer. In the end Krups gave us a new machine. New one now broken, the distributor again. Didnt use them heavily, they are junk, you have been warned. Would have been cheaper to have a live in barrista…
