If you want to get Redux then this is a superb deal as having this gives you 50% off Redux preorders.
I thought having any version of Metro Last Light will entitle you to 50% off Redux?
I believe so. If you've already got Last Light on Steam then you're eligible for 50% discount on a Last Light Redux preorder (so US$25 -> US$12.50). I think if you don't already have 'original' Last Light, the Complete edition in this deal is the only one you can currently buy on Steam now. Decent deal.
General info on Redux, the way I understand it: 'Redux' is two different titles - Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux. Existing owners of 2033 get a discount on 2033 Redux, while existing owners of Last Light get a discount on Last Light Redux.
There is a Redux preorder bundle that has both Redux titles, but the loyalty discounts still work the same way (one preowned title = 25% off; two = 50% off) and there appears to be no additional discount for getting the Redux bundle instead of buying the two Redux preorders separately.

Wow only $5 USD now. How much was it retailing for when it first came out about $80 was it?. Shows if you wait a year or so you can pick games up for peanuts and complete editions too.

Yup always a price gouge. That's why it's not recommended to buy games on release date. Look at it now only $5 USD for the complete edition.
Never been a better time to be a gamer with not-much-money. Just gotta get a half-decent PC, exercise a little patience, and you can pick up amazing games for super cheap.
I strongly suspect my habit of buying tons of games I may never play when they're $5 in a steam/humble sale is due to residual memories of how much games USED to cost and not being able to resist the feeling it's a great deal.
