LivingSocial is currently having this promotion where they are selling $15 "Deal Bucks" for $8. Deal Bucks are like gift voucher / certificate that can be used on LivingSocial website. You can buy this and use on other deals — however there are limitations that might prevent this getting "brodened", i.e. "Max 1 voucher per person" and "Deal Bucks cannot be transferred to another member’s account".

      Deal Bucks are valid for one year from date of issue, you can check the expiry date of your Deal Bucks in My Account on the LivingSocial website

    I just bought the voucher, I feel stupid but how do I claim it? Doesn't appear to be an option

      I don't know if it us active immediately, but when you go to buy a deal, it should be available as an option at payment.

      As the expiry is listed as 30/8/2015, I suspect it becomes valid on.the 29 or 30 of Aug 2014

      Cheapish if you missed out on the deal at $6.29 last week. Optus & Telstra tix are still cheaper too. I suppose at $11 it still beats paying full price for $20.

        It is actually cheaper as it is $5.50 per ticket. $8 gets you $15 credit, movie ticket deal is $9, buy one ticket for yourself and one as a gift for $18, use $15 credit plus another $3 for total actual spend of $11, receive 2 movie tickets in total. Only thing that would worry me is that the credit may only become available after the movie deal expires.

          Ah, my bad. Yes you're right. At the time I was thinking '$15(credit)+$3/2' & not '$8+$3/2'.

          This deal ends in 5 days while the Hoyts deal ends in 6 days so you should be able to get it.

    After purchasing the voucher says this:
    "Instructions
    1) Click ‘Add voucher to your account'
    2) Your deal bucks will be in your account within 48 hours from end of deal (31 August) 3) You’ll receive an email when they are live in your account and ready to use
    4) Enjoy!"
    What does it mean by step 1, do I need to add the voucher to my account somehow after purchasing? It's already showing up in the "my vouchers" place and I couldn't find anywhere else to add them.

        at the end i just go to cashrwd site first then login, choose lving social and click go shop, and then copy pasted this particular deal and buy.

          @gsrt22: This should work. When you click on CashRewards' link it just attaches a cookie on your browser. It does not know what you intend to buy purchase, how much you are spending etc. However after you have completed the transaction, CashRewards might receive a report the following day on the transaction. With the tag on the transaction it would then match up your clicks so the cashback amount would go into your account.

    Just be aware I have bought them previously and I haven't been use them in conjunction with some offers. Especially the targeted offers, but I was able to use it with the recent 20% off. You may also find they won't send you any targeted discount offers while deal bucks are in your account.

      It's listed in the special deals in CashRewards under LivingSocial + DAD15 code for 15% off, so $6.80 less 8% :-)

    I purchased this deal today but can't see the $15 in my "deal bucks". I tried applying the voucher code and redemption code from the voucher which doesn't work either??

      The voucher says that the deal bucks will be applied to your account automatically within 48 hours of the deal ending on 31st August. They will email you when they are ready to use.

    Spent mine on a nice $62 dinner out, for $29, less 15% code, less $15 deal bucks bought for about $6.25, and then 8% CashRewards back on the remainder. Cost about $15. I'm going to enjoy the meal ;-)
