Up to $150 off Andrea Bocelli Tickets for 48 Hours @ Ticketek

70

Update: Deal is still available. I'm unsure how long it will last for.

I received an email from a friend who received it Monday stating the following:

The world's most beloved tenor, Andrea Bocelli, has forged a career spanning almost 20 years, selling a staggering 80 million records worldwide. For 48 hours only, Firsttiix members who purchase tickets will receive an upgrade to the next Reserve category.

SILVER RESERVE NOW AT BRONZE PRICE - $99*
GOLD RESERVE NOW AT SILVER PRICE - $179*
PLATINUM RESERVE NOW AT GOLD PRICE - $249*
DIAMOND RESERVE NOW AT PLATINUM PRICE - $349*

Delivery fee of between $6.45 to $8.85 exists. A payment processing fee of 1.95% applies to all purchases made by credit or debit card and is included in the price. A payment processing fee does not apply for purchases made through Ticketek agents or outlets when using cash, or when redeeming a Ticketek Gift Voucher.

The deal works with the above link in this post. Applies to all Australian venues, except Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Once you click on the deal it is remembered in your browser. If you use another browser and head to ticketek through Google, the prices are more expensive.

It appears to be a legitimate discount. Perth Arena website indicates a higher price (eg. Diamond seating = $499). Same goes for other venue's websites. Too late for my friend who bought them at the more expensive prices.

Tour Dates:
Sun 14 Sep: Brisbane Entertainment Centre
Tue 16 Sep: Allphones Arena, Sydney
Thu 18 Sep: Adelaide Entertainment Centre (no discount)
Sun 21 Sep: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Wed 24 Sep: Perth Arena

One for the romantics out there.

Well there you go. Until now, whenever I heard the name of this singer, I thought it was a female.

    • Why'd you get so many negs?! lol you clearly weren't taking the piss out of the singer or anything.

OzB'ers are a strange bunch. Everything is misinterpreted around here.

      • yer, I have no idea why either.

        • +2

That's probably why you got them. Don't panic, one day you'll come to appreciate many things you currently know nothing about. Happens to most of us.

No reason why you'd know one of the world's greatest tenors but you'd have to have been born yesterday not to have heard at least "Con Te Partiro/Time To Say Goodbye". Here's a sample: or you might prefer the same song with the spectacular Sarah Brightman

          Enjoy!

@Possumbly: Well said Possumbly, I just want to clarify that Sarah Brightman is actually a woman :P

one of the world's greatest tenors

That really is a gigantic stretch.

But don't believe me - read some of his reviews from knowledgeable critics:

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Bocelli#Criticism

Putting him in the same league as Sarah Brightman is probably appropriate.

        • @jackspratt: wow wikipedia. Snooty nosed critics can argue technicalities of his voice and operatic interpretations all they like, the simple fact is that Bocelli has a great voice, much warmer than Pavarotti for example. That's the great thing about voices and music, we don't need critics to tell us what is better, we get to choose what appeals to us.

          @Possumbly:

Given that you said "….we don't need critics to tell us what is better, we get to choose what appeals to us."

then logically your statement "….the simple fact is that Bocelli has a great voice, much warmer than Pavarotti……" should be more like "…..in my opinion Bocelli has a great voice, much warmer than Pavarotti……".

          Should it not?

        • @jdr: Who's …Pavarotti? Just joking :)
I don't think Possumbly has written anything opposite than you are writing.
Personally, I completely ignore who those critics are and I'm not technical at all when it comes to the music I enjoy listening to. I'm pretty sure you will be of the same idea when/if you listen to Bocelli's voice.
Similar to movies critiques, nothing and no one can stop you from enjoying or hating a film, this is a gift from Mother Nature.

        • @jdr: I take your point - as pedantic and pontificating as it is. I was indeed not speaking as a medium for others so "fact" was a poor choice of words, however I would point out that Bocelli's widespread acclaim, numerous awards and huge popularity might suggest that at least a few million others share a similar opinion.

Just click "Get Tickets" no password needed

  • That'll be a cheap night out. I can't believe they get away with layering on the other fees when the base ticket price is so expensive.

It's cheaper and more entertaining to watch grass grow.

Coming from someone who lives solely to post on OzB, I hardly think we can trust your views on entertainment :-)

    • …and certainly more soothing.
