    I used to have this from another give away. After a few reinstalls of Windows the Perfect Effects 8 software license refused to activate saying that it was being used on another computer and there was no way to deactivate it. Emailed onOne Software about the issue and am still awaiting a reply about 2 months later so i gave up. Probably because it says there's no free technical support so if this issue happens you're out of luck say goodbye to it. Probably a way to entice you to try it out and then have to buy a proper paid license with technical support when the current freebie license no longer works and if you still want to continue using the software.

        Wouldn't take that lifetime with a grain of salt. There's no free technical support on this freebie give away license so if the software license after you've reinstalled Windows a few times suddenly tells you that it's already installed on another computer and since it doesn't allow you to deactivate previous install activations you can no longer continue to use the software. It's only lifetime for as long as the license allows you to keep using it. As if the software publisher would be giving away real lifetime licenses in that case there would be full technical support and unlimited activations.

          Sorry, but who do you want to pay all the developers making this product?
          It's free for 2 computers, or 2 rebuilds, there's no technical support because it's free.
          They are giving you the chance to get another license now…for free…

    Awsome program if you follow any of the tutorials they email you, plus the one licence works on both windows and mac! And FREE so who can't afford that?
