        Based on the picture it is the standard MYER only card. The Coles Myer ones are branded differently.

        I agree. I meant that I would buy a Myer card at Woolworths, and then do my normal shopping for that week and use my $10 credit. The $50 Myer card will be used at Myer later on.

          If you use self checkout, just pay for the GC first then start another transaction. No need to leave and re-enter the store.

          In my past experience, it takes a while for the $10 credit to load onto your EDR account. In the past I've bought the gift card on a Wednesday morning and then did my usual shopping right after but didn't get the $10 off until my next shop two days later.

          Not parent companies. They separated many many years ago. The only thing they decided to keep together is the Coles Myer card as it was mutually beneficial.

    The fine prints says "your registered everyday rewards card" however I didn't see any link for registration, I assume that means a valid card?

      Well the credit goes onto the card. So I guess you could sign up to dozens of EDRs and molest the gift card shelf.
      Don't forget to use the ING/ME/5% card too!

      According to point 4 of their T&Cs:

      1. How to Register your Card:

      If you also wish to become an Everyday Rewards member you must first register your Card on our Website or phone our Call Centre on 1300 10 1234 . See "Other Benefits" below for more benefits of registering your Card.

      There is a limit of one registered Card per person.

      I couldn't find anywhere to register my card on their website.

        I just called everyday rewards (1300101234) and explained to the girl this and she seemed half confused and just advised me that I am "registered" on their system and I should bring the catalogue when I shop (um, ok?). But based on your post re how to register, I suppose it means that you have to link a card to your name, and not just pick one up from the front of the store and scan it?

          Yeah, I think all it means is that you have created an account on their website. Great way to prevent people having more than one account that.

      Just came back from Woolies, all you need to do is the scan your everyday rewards card, although the T&C says it will not show on receipt, but the receipt does print a confirmation that you have $10 to spend on your card. Ensure you take the activation receipt following your purchase receipt if you using the self service checkout.

    Sometimes you can confuzzle them by buying a giftcard and something else, using the giftcard as part payment, then returning the something else. Depends on the cashiers you run into.

        I have no need of anything Myer sells at the prices they sell them at. Things I have no use for I value at what I can sell them for. I would be lucky to get more than $45 for a $50 Myer card here. I generally don't try to sell things to family and friends for more than the market price.

        Ergo I see this offer as worth $5 less the bother.
