sometimes i don't even print the order confirmation and just scribble down the order number on a post-it note. sign for the items and out of there. it really depends on how anal the person at the counter wants to get lol

        • supercheap auto lost my order, and cannot find it…. i have to find my order confirmation and go in when i have time.

        • +2

@t25: last time my order was out of stock but it said in stock when I order. They ended up shipping it to my front door when stock comes in. Order was 3 bottles of SCA brake fluid Dot 4 for $1 each via promotion, $3 total shipped no questions asked. I couldn't be more amazed with SCA service.

        • @Azn310: that is awesome service. I really should make some time and go find my order.

        • @Azn310: that happens to me about half the time i try click & collect. some stores are hopeless when it comes to letting you know they're out of stock so the best way is to call up their 1300 number and they will arrange for you to either pick up at another store or they'll ship it to your door

  • Thank you OP.

  • The lowest value for gift cards are $20 online. What about in store? Is it $20 too?

    • why would you care? loyalty credit can't be used for gift card

Good find. Some good items too. If only the shipping was free :)

    • pick up in store is free

You still have to pay a 'handling' fee to pickup.

        • are you sure? It doesn't come up in my order

        • No need to neg. I chose shipping then pickup so the handling fee must of just stayed from when I chose pickup. Free sandpaper here I come!

  • Just got myself 2 X SCA 1L Sports Bottle - Aluminium for the gym

    • these bottles get build up of really dirty mold/spores/bateria and hard to clean due to the small neck size and they are dark/ not see through …

I have some of these bottles and they are really disgusting inside.

Now I just use clear plastic bottle..

      • -1

This is why you should use diluted bleach or Milton to clean them (Leave sitting in bottle for 30 min) at least every week (or couple of days)

        • -1

I wouldn't be too worried. Even with the upcoming $7 doctor fee you'll still be $3 in front.

        • @dan76n:

lol , if youve ever lived in a third world country, you would be surprised how important it is to clean your bottles/ food containers with diluted bleach.

Also, as stated before, you can use milton. Milton is used to sterilize baby bottle and utensils and is safe.

Even with the upcoming $7 doctor fee

As far as im aware, that's been taken out of the budget and the government isn't supporting it anymore

        • -2

          @easternculture:

why waste money to buy these bleach/milton when you can just use clear plastic bottle which wouldn't have this issue…
It is just more money down the drain, when there is an easier option..

mold love dark, damp places to grow..

the yellow gunk might even be fecal bacteria, same as in your loo..

Just shine a light in the bottle, it is really disgusting…

Knowing that I am drinking water with these million of bacteria colonies, growing, eating and producing waste in the same bottle is really disgusting, and really puts you off whenever you take a drink..

And even if u clean it once a week, the spores grow daily and you might not see it or know about it…
So you're still drinking dirty water during the week

and drinking water that is in the same bottle that had chemicals like bleach or milton is not all that great either (no matter how safe they claim)..

          ===

Just ditch these metal bottles, and do yourself and your health a favour..

        • @tyler.durden:

I get milton for free @ my workplace so these suit me well

and drinking water that is in the same bottle that had chemicals like bleach or milton is not all that great either (no matter how safe they claim)..

As i said, Milton has been proven safe. Bleach is alo safe as long as you rinse it well and let it dry off.

All what your talking about is just a myth

        • +2

@tyler.durden: i never get mold in either my stainless steel or aluminium bottles. i wash them regularly (at least once a week) with a bottle brush and let them air dry. occasionally, i'll let them soak in a bicarb solution then wash as normal. no need for bleach or other chemicals, just simple hygiene

        • +1

          @tdw: +1 for bottle brush.
If you don't have one you can pour 2 spoonfulls of rice in add some water and soap and shake till clean.

  • The option to pay with the $10 is not on the payment screen.

  • I'm after car wash liquid, any recommendation? For brand new car.
Looking on these 2 but not sure which one is better,
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Megui…
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Megui…
    Thanks guys.

    • avoid wash & wax products unless you like cleaning your glass again after washing.

just get the Gold Class shampoo and if you want a wax, either Meguiar's Tech Wax or Ultimate Wax.

      • Thanks tdw.
I always do rinse after wash though. As I dont want to affect the paint hence not sure if wash and wax is good or not…

        • a rinse won't remove all the wax on your glass.

combo products simply won't ever be as good as using the standalone products separately.

but it all depends on the car and the level of care you decide to give it ;)

    • You basically need 2 types a wash liquid.
      A hard and a soft.
The hard is alkaline and removed everything including wax and protectorate.
The soft (ph neutral) removes just "stuff" but not the wax etc….

      So, basically,
      1. wash car with hard.
      2. wax or protect
      3. When a little dirty use soft
      4. After months, repeat step 1

Cool had to go to a few different stores to find the model of multi tool I wanted and got it for $6 thanks Adder!
Also to those who don't want to wait and do pick and collect you can just go to your store and get them to look up your account and use the discount in person. They'll ask for your name and email address.

  • Delivery seems to be $39.99 for one small item.

A few months ago when I bought a big box of cheap things it was only $7 or so delivery.

Its about 120km round trip to SuperCheap (half of that through heavy traffic), so its not worth driving there or paying the $39.99 delivery fee for me.

I'm sure the jacked the shipping price just for this promotion and are banking on people spending more money when they are in store.

  • This is a great Bargain.
    Thanks SCA.
Signed up last week for a free $10. (got a meguirs shampoo).
Today I actually ended up paying! OMG. But I bought a citrus degreaser and a nice scraper (for removing shut from windows), out of pocket $5/

    Tempted for the Stanley compressor.
