It no longer has first year free of annual fee.

Annual fee is not waived for first year

  • Ah missed that one.. thanks ,, guess its not that great a deal after all.. unless your going for the Standard card for 50,000 points = 250 gift card. + spare points

    • +1

for the $95 fee there is still a little bit of value there, but nothing like the previous deal.

IMO, I think you should highlight the fees a bit more if you're going to reference the last deal.

      • good idea done

  • annual fee on black card? can't find it. it should be an annual fee

    • found it, $425….. tooooo expensive

  • -5

No deal as annual card fee isn't waived.

    • Don't think that's worh a neg, there could be some value for people with the $95 card. you get about $300 worth of points.

      • . OP started out with almost same deal as last time. When it's a significantly worse deal. If it helps only one person to actually read the fine print it was worth the neg

        • well, it's fixed now so you can remove your neg

just no as good a deal as last time.

Are you saying you applied for 3 different Anz ff credit cards and got 150k in points? I thought bonus points are only applicable one per person per calendar year.

  • can someone confirm that you can in fact get an additional card holder fee waived for the first year? also can you apply for another anz card straight away or is it best to stagger applications a few weeks or months apart so that it doesn't affect your credit history or chances of getting approved? any one successful in reducing their credit limit below 15k for the black card after being approved?

  • With the black card you get an amex and a visa card sent together. If you spend 1500 on both cards can you double your points?

    • No.
But you get 2 cards with the ANZ Rewards, ANZ FF, ANZ Rewards Platinum, ANZ FF Platinum, ANZ Rewards Black & ANZ FF Black. That's 12 cards right there :-)

  • Got all three of the rewards cards, but only one Qantas card. :( Didnt pay attention. I guess I wouldnt be able to spend 1500 for each anyway.
By the way, do you get points for direct billing to the card (bills)?

  • As I have the ANZ FF black already, all I need to do is apply for the standard version (minimum $1000 credit) and I can possibly bump up my points by an additional 50k for $95?

    • So far few people reported receiving all the points on all the cards. Most of as got two or all three cards but got the points only on one and waiting 4 months to pass. Not sure either are you supposed to spend 1500 on every single card or just one of the lot.

      • It makes sense to me one would need to spend the $1.5k to qualify..

As my question above though it would be a pretty cheap way to aquire an additional 50k in points, otherwise Im looking at spending over $30k on my AMEX to collect a similar amount.

        • It would be, but again we do not know 100% whether ANZ will honour giving points to other cards once they have been received on the first card issued.
Look at the forum, for some 4 months lapsed and they got no points.

  • +3

Ive confirmed with ANZ both in writing and by phone that they will honour the 50k for each credit card as long as you meet the minimum spend within the given time frame.

Time to apply for the the standard version to rack up another 50k!

  • Ok, so than youll have to spend 1500 on each card I guess to get all the points. Im not much of a spender and managed to get the 50K points through paying for plane tickets for friends. As I cannot manage to spend 1500 for three months, I am not sorry for not applying for the other cards.
Happy with 50K Qantas plus 150K regular reward points for which there was no minimum spend.
Just be patient and wait for 4 months.

  • wife applied for plat card soon after me i made the deadline but she got charged a $295 fee ouch i didnt know they had changed the terms. anyone successful in getting there annual fee refunded? what if after you get the 50k points in 4 mths time you cancel or transfer the card to the standard anz platinum card with the $87 annual fee waived for first year will you still be refunded the $295 annual fee or will it be prorated?
