25% off CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) from MIR-AUS

MIR-AUS are offering 25% today off their CISS system. Based on various Whirlpool reviews, their system looks comparable to the RIHAC systems.

I purchased the $160 HP 210 v4 system, which comes with 145ml + 100ml ink per colour, so, paid $120 for it. (Free shipping with DHL/Fastrack)

They list the v3 system for $142 on ebay, so $120 is a great deal in my books.

The link below also includes $5 bonus credit (for me also, to be transparent), but it can't be stacked, so order your spare ink in a separate order (free shipping > $95).

NO Affiliate Links anywhere. NO Referral Links in the URL field (only description).

Not supposed to put your affiliate link as the main link.

      Swapped around, apologies

come on with those negative votes, I made it 100% clear that there was $5 for both myself and yourself. I could have, just as easily, not said anything about the affiliate/referral link, but I did, and swapped it into the description as per cwongtech, and the mod removed it anyway.

        What's your beef ?

Per their own website How much will I save buy using a CISS:

20 sets of original cartridges; spend at least $3,000.00

This assumes a set of inks cost at least $150! By my calculations the ink cartridge sets I buy for my HP C6180 are $6 each, which x 20 sets = $120 in total. And I'm not pfaffing around with a CISS. I know what I'd prefer

    • They use RRP of genuine ink vs their 3rd party ink to bloat the savings figure

    • If you set up a CISS correctly, it is actually quite good. There is no pfaffing around with it after it is setup correctly.

It still saves you money though depending on how long it takes ya to go through 20 sets of ink. For a uni student they'd chew through them.

20 sets of ink is a LOT of ink.
I can print a textbook (600 pages) out with 3 ink cartridges, don't think we have that many lecture slides..

I prefer 3rd party cartridges usually sourced from ebay, no muss no fuss, and without the massive upfront cost you're putting into the CISS

  • I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has tried their Piezo nano chrome inks.
I've got an Epson XP-510, and this promo brings their Robust v4 CISS, with 140mm Piezo inks down to $135 shipped.
When a set of "XL" cartridges of standard ink costing ~$50 this would pay for itself a few times.

I've bought a few systems from MIR-Aus (for work and home) and highly recommend them. Installing them is usually easy, but I can also vouch for their after-sales support.

    I know this sounds sock-puppety but it isn't !

  • No experience with this mob, but one benefit of dealing with Rihac for CISS systems is their excellent after sales service and support.
