This is pretty cheap. Large screen 4.3 inchs I think. The interface is great. Unfortunately there is no manufacturer warranty but there has been a 1 year refund no questions asked.
Edit: I didn't actually pick one up today but my friend has the same model from feebay and I rang Bankstown to ask if they could hold one but was denied. Its not available until 6th of September though. I said I picked one up because I went to go to buy one after seeing in the catolouge

Well if you buy off dealextreme and something goes wrong with your item…. you have to send it back to hong-kong. The same applies to ebay. Also dealextreme dosnt provide you with maps. Many people don't feel comfortable buying online in my opinion.

I'm not sure where TRS are sourcing these units from, but to be able to offer a unit with these specs AND IGO8 for $149 is very good value coming from a local seller.
I completely agree with you dx has some great stuff.
Sure you can get cheaper off eBay but ad postage + insurance and delivery waiting time and the possibility that it might not arrive it all ads up. I think this is a good deal. I think Big will's behaving like a big tool!!!

Sorry about that. What that means is if the GPS breaks you can take it back but you must have proof of purchase.

Usually trs gives you unlimited Money Back. I managed to take my chairs I bought from them 3 Years ago. Iv'e just rang to see and confirm on that but they later told me that the money back guarantee is only for 1 year on the item. Sorry for that

sometimes if you're lucky you can take stuff back after a year. If you're lucky. I've had a play on these things. They're pretty alright. But we have customers coming in asking if they have software updates, and I have NO clue! As far as I know they have the Australian 2008 street directory, but people constantly ask if there's a 2009 update.

But the games on them are pretty fun!
The IGO8 GPS software that this unit runs is excellent, I use it on my phone….far more feature rich than tomtom etc. I wonder if it runs the sensis maps or the Navteq maps?
