    You fast bro

    • +3

haha gotta help the gang out

  • Wait at least 45 days to receive it?

    • +21

You can do whatever you like tiger. I was just ordering one and thought I'd share with others in case it helps someone out. Not really interested in stealing someone's 'thunder'. If the other one isn't visible it isn't helping anyone. Sorry…

    • +2

There's a lot of people on here wondering what to buy and he's sharing the information at the time when we need it. He can't be waiting for original poster or whoever needs to reactivate the unconfirmed deal from yesterday and neither can we.

  • -7

    Wrong information

16GB iPhone 6 Plus is 999 not 899 before discount and it is 850 after discount .

    • +1

OP is correct. Max discount from eBay is $100. Otherwise, you would buy cars or motobikes and get massive discount.

    • A maximum discount of $100 applies to each transaction (Transactions totalling at least $666.67 including postage will give you the maximum $100 discount).

    • ?@#?@???

The price listed is already after discount, the Iphone 6 plus is $999 after discount is $899.

There is a limit of $100 max on the 15%.

    • Only $100 discount
      .

  • Sorry for noob question, but buying this iphone from Kogan, is it the same as buying one from any aussie retailer? or is it an international version of the phone with international plug also?

    • It's import stock, but kogan will supply you with an Australian adapter.

      Apple iPhone 6
      Apple EarPod Headphones
      Lightning Cable
      Charger
      AU/NZ Compliant Generic Charger
      AU/NZ Compliant Generic Adapter

      • Thanks. again a noob question, so they will put in a generic non apple charger ? but the phone is the same as if id buy it instore for example from jb?

        • +1

They put in a generic standalone converter, similar but not exactly this one http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mcYFHKy7pafPqn18P9Y_J…

        • In term of functionality, your phone will be near identical to one you would buy from a brick and mortal store in Australia. But in term of warranty and service, you will have to go through kogan instead of directly at apple center which can a be a hassle.

        • @highdealer: If I recall (from when my wife got her iPhone 5 through Kogan), Apple has an international warranty on phones..

        • +1

          @airzone: No it does not.

          from apple warranty policy :
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

My wife's grey import iphone 5s bricked, took it back to Apple store, replaced with a new one straight away.

        • @hachiroku:

Just out of interest do you know if it was a Verizon or AT&T model iPhone?

    • i purchased the iphone 5s from the last ebay deal from Kogan. Had an at&t sim card in it. but works fine with any sim. No issues with usage and activating the iphone :)

  • +3

Good deal but 4-5 weeks for delivery.

Will these phones be covered under warranty in Australia, can you take it to the Apple Store for repair, anybody have any experience with international apple products?

    • +2

No, this is import stock, so you deal with kogan when you want warranty. Apple have international warranty but not for any product will cellular reception. So ipad ipod wifi, macbook air/pro come with international warranty. Iphone, Ipad 3G/4G does not.

      WARRANTY:
This product is BRAND NEW and comes with a 12 month Australia wide warranty. In the unlikely event that you require a warranty repair, we will collect your item, repair or replace it, then return it you at no charge. It is a requirement of warranty that you keep the original packaging for transportation.

    • I have purchased most of my laptops from the USA and had no issues with Warranty as its International. My understanding with phones is they are also covered with International warranty and Apple will fix the parts that fail that are sold here and match the one you have. If your phones radio for instance on some of the older models didnt get sold here in Australia then they wouldn't fix that part, if the battery failed then yes as thats universal, chargers no, usb cables yes etc.

      • No they do not support it here

  • -1

It may be worth mentioning it is risky for import stock as there may be some manufacturing bugs that need to be ironed out.

    • Software updates are pushed to you online….

      • I said manufacturing aka hardware

        • +1

They're all from pretty much the same factory in China mate.

        • +1

          @FOX:

I think he is saying that if there are manufacturing bugs (which would be present in both import stock and local since same factory), it would be difficult to get it fixed under warranty by Apple. Have to go through Kogan etc etc.

  • +3

If you're travelling soon, they'll be from AU$790 directly from the Apple store after 10% TRS refund.

    • Thx. Out of curiosity how exactly does it work? After you've checked in for your int flight do you take your receipt to a special desk?

    • Can you claim TRS refund even if you buy from Kogan?

      • No, because no GST is paid

    • Your maths is a bit off there, $899 after GST refund is $817.27

      • Start with $869

        • Right, Apple sells the 16gb at $869… didn't notice Kogan was gouging

        • +2

They're within their rights to :-P

    • delete

  • +10

I don't think its worth it really. I've "preordered" from Kogan in the past for major apple releases and it was horrible. They just take your money and hold it for months and then keep extending the delivery date until you get so fed up you cancel.

Not to mention the ease of walking into an Apple store and getting your phone instantly replaced if something goes wrong.

    • +5

Thanks for that mate, I think Ill just get it from JB or HN, plus a quick check on gumtree shows you can get a gift card for $100 of face value, so Ill save that $100 anyways and get Australian stock. Someone is selling a $722 jb gift card for $622 right now!! Theres my $100 saving!

    • +5

True — you've convinced me to hold off

  • Out of stock of the gold iphone 6 plus :(

  • +1

I will wait for virginmobile to get the $70 plan for 6+ 128GB.

  • +2

Won't be covered by the 2 year warranty under Australian consumer law. Not worth the $100 saving IMO

  • +7

What version of Android is this on? Looks like 4.0?

    • NO man its Gingerbread, you need to read more wasabi..

    • Kitkat 4.4.4 - also compatible with Android wear devices ;)

    • Take a hike Android fanboys.

    • It's iAndroidOS 8.4.4.4

  • -6

i bet there will be this comment that will say how bad and overpriced the iphone 6+ is and everyone should go for android. LOL

    • +5

Ironically your comment is the first one.

      • -2

no, i love apple products. been using my iphone 5s since release

        • +16

Real long term Apple fan. iPhone 5s since release.

    • +1

      You were right! ↓

  • -5

So expensive for a phone that fails to have any WOW factor. Same old Apple, another variety, and a new variant in 9 months probably.

Yes, someone had to point out the truth about cost benefit.

    • +1

And Android don't have multiple variants of the same thing?

    • -1

      i was right!! ↑↑↑↑

      • -4

do you feel better being right? I think you really pointed out the obvious but didn't have the courage to frame it as an opinion.

Yes of course there are other branded expensive phones, I just can't fathom paying the $$ that you could get a great laptop or PC for a phone….

    • I am not disagree with you that iPhone 6 is expensive, but there are many brands e.g. LV, Rolex, Ferrari etc which cost a lot more than value mid-range android to an Apple.

I am not saying Apple or Android is better, but everyone has freedom to choose the phone they like. The phone you like doesn't mean it is the phone everyone like.

  • -1

Can't wait to pay $400 more just to control it from my wrist :)

    • I can't wait for the five-figure priced 18-karat gold Apple Watch

    • @chipstss this technology is already here
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159555

      • Uh? I was mocking watches that control phones.. they need to be standalone or bust.

  • -5

I can't wait for the S6….maybe they will invent Nose Print ID

    • +5

Might have to wait, because nobody nose.

  • Kogan is way way forward thinker than people grabbing a discount from them through ebay …. all their store apple iphone 6 is stock out …. Even when they have priced it at same as australian stock why wouldnt they ppl buy here then buy their grey import they should have lower prices than australian resellers

  • no 6 plus 128G ?

  • -1

I just upgraded from my iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 64GB for 24 months contract with Vodafone. I spoke to Retention team and scored $5 ongoing discount. In a nutshell, scored $79 plan for $74 (Red plan including phone). They wouldn't discount anymore than that. Trust me, I tried hard! Hope this helps some of yous..

    • So $1776 all up?

      • yup!

        • I'll stick to Amaysim (paying about $25/year* for voice/SMS and $100/year for data) = ~$1040 after 24 months with TRS claim
          *I try to avoid voice/SMS communication :-)
