    very tempting……………

    • Very….

  • Is a GST invoice provided for TRS refund?

    • Nope.

It's from Hong Kong according to the original listing.

      • Taiwan not Hong Kong.

wasent this 700 few months ago?

    • That was the 2013 model.

However there is not much difference between the 2013 model and 2014 model, besides a 100Mhz speed boost and potentially a slower SSD.

      • +1

I got that $700 deal from a couple of months ago and when it arrived it was an Early-2014 model, so good for me I guess. But as you say there is very little difference between 2013 and 2014. Clock speed of 1.3GHz to 1.4GHz is the only real difference.

        • wow lucky you! Don't know how they can make mistakes like this since it's Apple an they're normally really cautious

        for the better

  • Should I get it or Should I not…

  • I'm sure kogan can beat this

They had it for $700 last time

    • +1

Still regretting not buying :( - $500 for the 11" too.

Hopefully Kogan sees this and beats it by a fair margin :)

      • -2

Why is it $200 to upgrade screen size when normally it is only $100. Also the % increase is way more as it's a jump from 500 to 700 vs usual prices hovering around 1.1k, with a jump to 1.2k.

        • You should definitely get the $500 11in. instead. Get one for me too!

  • +1

Many think this is a good deal (see upvotes) but no one pulled the trigger since post (still only 5 sold).

  • +1

Where is my retina macbook air?

  • I think from the last thread it said that the previous version was only 5% slower of margin of the price $660. $880 still seems like a hard price to swallow as Kogan as above mentioned is only $50 steeper in cost.

    • +5

I got in on the Kogan deal 2 months back and they actually sent me the 2014 model ie the 1.4Ghz model despite it being advertised as a 2013. The build date on the laptop was 07/07/14! Wasn't even a month old when I received it!

      • same here

        • same received the 2014 11" for 500, deal of the year!

      • +1

Well shit! I should have bought one

  • I just purchased one, there's definitely more than 5 sold because I purchased one when it said 5 sold.
Going to sell my 2011 Macbook Pro and hopefully get around the price I paid for this.

    Thanks OP!

  • Bought an upgraded 8gb version through Apple AU using edu for $1207 only last week…if this was upgradeable i'd be kicking myself! Still 4gb of RAM for $300 is harsh, even for Apple lol

  • Just a quick question guys, do I have to buy Australian Magsafe power adapter seeing as this is from HK?

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/apple-45w-magsafe-2-power-ada…

    • +1

They send an American MagSafe in the box, but they also send an Australian Converter they are pretty bulky but I bet they have fuses and stuff in-built. Girlfriends been using it, it's fine.

      • The 'duck head' from your old iphone charger works fine as an adaper. I then just charge my phone from another usb port on my PC

    • No, just a cheap plug adapter. It will likely ship with one, as Kogan does.

    • No. The magsafe adapter is in 2 parts, they give you an Aussie adapter for the little plug section so it's the same size / weight. Pretty good solution

    • the power brick is universal, you just need to change the plug. People also travel with their macs :P

Bullshit right ? 15% off then only max 100$ discount.
Last few weeks, it was 750$ only

    • Last few weeks, it was 750$ only

      Where? When?

      • He's probably talking USD

        • Even USD there was no Mac Book Air selling for anywhere near 750 USD is the last few week.

      • Kogan EOFY deal when ebay gave 20% rebate on computing. The 11in got down to $500, the 13in to $750.

        • so 3 months ago is a few weeks?

  • I missed out on the end of financial year deals through ebay/kogan too, still regretting it but glad this came out…

Just bought one, better than no discount.

Hoping that the new retina model doesn't come out too soon now :P

  • once I get to ebay from CashRewards, how can I find the deal?

    • +1

In eBay's search bar search this number: 161412777408

      • thank you!

      • Wish I saw this.. I couldn't figure that out. So I missed the $20 saving

  • Anyone know how long does the shipping take from this mob?

    • estimated delivery to Brisbane is 22-25 September

  • -2

If this is a grey market import from Taiwan, does it have the Asian keyboard or the standard one? Also, what sort of power supply/plug does it come with?

    • English Keyboard, Normal charger…

  • Not buying. I am stuck with my 2011 macbook pro atm. But really tempting price……….

i have to wait for a retina display air…………..in many years time……….

  • still using my old white macbook with broken trackpad button… this is a tempting upgrade ;)

    • temptation was too great…
Slight upgrade from my late 2007 white macbook :)

  • Didnt the 15% end 12pm today?

    • extended to tomorrow midnite

  • Very tempting. If only I had issues with my 2010 MBP. I recently upgraded the RAM and replaced the HDD with a Samsung Evo SSD and it has improved the performance dramatically.

  • I'm stuck with my 2012 MBP. Rarely use the disc drive, should've gotten an external drive, to add less weigh as I also heard the MBP heats up more than without! Then I should've bought an external hard drive and then buy the Air.

  • damn out of stock….. shouldnt went to eat sushi for dinner.

  • I hope KOGAN do a deal since eBay is extendign their promo by 1 day

  • Got one too ! Not as good as Kogan deal.. But still pretty good… Was looking for this since past couple of months..

  • Bought one for my dad. I love saving money for people, almost as satisfying as saving it for myself.

  • Dang! Was researching this last night when it literally vanished into the air when I came back all pumped to seal the deal on a couple of these. Any punters on the next sale?

    • feel you pain…… same here

  • Has anyone had their macbook marked as posted?

    • Nope. No movement.

      • I need mine by the 2/10…Hopefully it makes it in time

  • Mine was posted out today!

    • Yeah mine arrived on Monday~
