Coles and I have differing views on the term 'powerful' ;)

    • +3

The add says powerfull - it uses full power, all the time

  • prefer the 8" IPS version…….. if it's IPS…..

this was on special few weeks ago right? none of the stores have them in stock (around brisbane)

    • I am not sure they have so many version, Quad Core, Dual Core …. 7" 8" etc.

BTW I still saw some at Coles.

    • Sounds about right. I haven't seen one in Indro / Kenmore / Mt Ommaney since.

Was stock of this 7" for $49 at Carindale, Brisbane last few weeks, as I have posted in cheap tablet deals.

    512mb RAM…

This is the crappy older model. Avoid, due especially to low RAM.
The newer version has 1GB and quad-core A31 processor. Sold for $89, but works well.

hah that name cracks my up all the time - Pendu in Punjabi language is a term for Rednecks or bogans :-)

Is your ID written as "binary-zerU" in Punjabi?

      • Hahaha, I saw that too.

      • +1

lol - still sounds the same :-)

  • avoid, bought one before, you cant use it…..they really shouldnt sell them..

      Details?

  • +1

I have this model and despite the low RAM I find it useable for species and Facebook.

  • Which stores do they sell them in? I never see any tablets being sold in Dandenong Plaza or Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre.

    • It's in this week's Coles catalogue, so should be most stores.

Did you ask? Better than just looking. Often kept in cupboard at service desk, may not be on display.

My local has them sitting behind the boxes of phones in the middle of the service area. If you did not know what you were looking for, you'd never know they were there.

When I bought the $29 Huawei 7" tablet in another Coles, they were so hidden away, staff did not realise they were there.

I meant in general and not this deal in particular. I never see them being sold at full price let alone discounted, so I was wondering if I was visiting the wrong stores.

        • You keep asking effectively if your local stores stock tablets… read my reply - you are in the best sitiation to answer your own question by just asking at service counter & they can tell you.

Just because you haven't seen tablets does not mean they aren't there!

Look up the many Coles tablet deals on OzBargain. People often post where they find tablets. I rang 6 local stores before I found stock of the rare unadvertised old stock $29 one & posted location. There was no real reason why there were 6 at that store, but not the other stores.

Tablets have occasionally been advertised in Coles catalogs (meaning pretty well all Coles, but not Cental or Express stores, unless sold out) for quite some time, like this week - that is in general.

  • When does the current Coles Catalogue end? OP should update the expiry date accordingly.

    • Tuesday night, but this was not necessarily posted as a catalog deal.

These tablets have been available at this price weeks before this catalog, and if there is stock, likely to be at this price for some time to come. So will expire if price changes or no stock left.
