Bonus Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Tab 4 with Purchase of Selected Samsung AC or Washing Machine

380

Hi people,

Just found this in my junk email yesterday and lucky timing as Im looking at purchasing one of the WiFi capable AR5000 air conditioners for my newly built home.

Im not a huge fan of Samsung products but to be honest, but both my fridge and washing machine are both Samsung. I like the idea of the WiFi connectivity and a 5 year parts and labour warranty but of course Im hoping it will last much longer!

Here is a video I found whilst doing a little research on this model of AC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH5_JdtCYA0

Could be an ideal way to score a tablet for the kids, wife or even swap it here for something else of value which in turn will bring down the price of this Samsung direct promotion.

Ive had a look on HN and (depending on the model of AC) they are in fact offering EFTPOS cash cards as a seperate promotion until the end of the month.

Not too sure what the deal is with the washers and only included the info on the title as it may well be of interest to someone else.

For people in WA, I would recommend looking at the Kambos website which has an "installed" price, obviously more expensive but from what Ive heard an overall better deal.

  • for free phone. washers are $2.6 (wd-f800k jbhifi - can be 2.1 if u buy now $500 cashback) to $3.1k (ww9000 tgg)

Only a good deal if you were going to buy both items separately. Who the heck spends >$3k on a washing machine?

      • Especially when they have one at $450-$550 (after cashback) usually.

Good point about their support/warranty. It's one of the best for appliances and the turnaround for a fix is generally quite quick.

lol over 2k for a washing machine is a no go.

    • Isn't this a dupe from your post aswell?

    • +3

For that $ I can buy five years supply of T-shirts from the Jeans West 40% off clearance and never have to wash even one.

  • Why do I need to remote control a washing machine???

    • +17

It posts an update to your Facebook when your undies are clean.

Mine mustn't be working. It posts a comment on what end the stains are from instead. Warranty claim you think?

    • Serious reason is they say it gives you diagnostics, i.e. better info through your remote monitor. No idea on the practicalities but it makes sense.

Here we go … 3 long story lovers. Enjoy your Samsung reading!

  • Wifi Ac? Wow.

      Nah, it's probably just 802.11n.
      :)

  • Is there anything samsung doesn't make?

    • +2
    • I was going to be cheeky and suggest something Samsung doesn't make = iPhone and iPad. But then I remembered that 1/3 of iPhone/iPad parts are from Samsung. Apple's component orders from Samsung were around $10 billion in 2013.

iPhone contains Samsung RAM (although not all iPhones, e.g. Aussie iPhone RAM is from Elpida)
Retina Displays are made by Samsung
Microprocessor chips are mostly made by Samsung, although TSMC will make some starting in 2014

Good deal if you need a tablet and an a/c. Masters stocks Samsung a/c. Make them price beat appliance central and its a great deal.

    • Great, bought 2 x 3.kW systems from Masters Williams Landing. they have very similar 2 models AR12FSSSBWK1 and AR12FSSSCWK1 (2014 model as per Masters). So be careful when selecting the model. AR12FSSSCWK1 is elligible for Tablet offer.

Now looking for a resonable quote for installation.

  • I thought the WiFi ACS were a wank when I was looking 6 months ago so bought Panasonic instead. But we were coming home on a freezing night recently and thinking about it it would be awesome to turn your reverse cycle on 10 mins before you get home. Good in winter because your windows are usually shut already.

Who the hell buys a 3k washing machine? Samsung should stick to making phones

  • Everyone is talking about the washing machines, but the Air Con seems to be an alright deal with the Tab 4.

Cheaper from other retailers, just not sure which retailers qualify

    • I believe the deal is with the AC as well, approx $1350 installed with Kambos which is the one I'll be chasing.

In regards to the the "participating retailers" Ive pulled this info from the main link:

"participating Australian retail store" excludes any online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) or any unauthorised retailers. • You can make your "dumb" air conditioner to a smart one, check out the tado° Cooling. Quite an interesting concept .

I have the Samsung wifi airco. It's awesome. Get the app and you can control it from anywhere via your home wifi.

I leave work, start the airco and it's nice and cool when I get home. Or warm in winter.

    Love it.

  • The idea of wifi a/c is pretty good, but I will get a consider the energy rating, quietness, durability and many other before wifi.
If wifi washing machine can auto load the detergent and cloth will be perfect, other than that I don't see a point.
