    Highly recommend uniqlo supima cotton
t shirts. Unbeatable for the price.
Super soft decently durable and great fit.

    • The track tshirt from american apparel still wins the most comfortable tahirt award from me. I am a fan of uniqlos ones too however.

  • Anyone tried 'Womens Cashmere V neck sweater'? It changes to full price after I click the colour.

Mine stays at 50 when changing colour. Try IE instead of Chrome or vice versa

    • +1

Yeah I had the same problem. Clicking through all the colours, it shows $49.90, but as soon as I chooise a size, it goes back to $99.90.

Edit: Looks like it's only Dark Brown and Olive colours that are $49.90.

  • Are these sales online only?

  • Thinking of getting the Cashmere cardigans, however how do you care or wash this piece? As I own a Ralph Lauren cashmere jumper, and I washed it a couple of times but the material is "balling". Under the description it says "Dry Clean", is this how you wash cashmere clothes?

    • +2

I'd follow the instructions because Uniqlo does say 'hand wash' for wool products. So if it says 'dry clean' for cashmere, I wouldn't try to wash it myself.

    • We use a front loader and I've had some cashmere Uniqlo stuff that's probably 8 or 9 years old :) Just wash on wool setting with minimal detergent and it's perfectly fine. Also, it was like 4500 yen or so when I bought it. Uniqlo and Daiso are so overpriced here.

Costs average up about almost double in comparison to japan :(

      Australia tax comparison:

Uniqlo JP easy care shirt - JPY1990 ($20)
Uniqlo TW easy care shirt - TWD780 ($30)
Uniqlo HK easy care shirt - HKD249 ($35)

Uniqlo AU easy care shirt - $49.90 T_T

Now, I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

      • Here's a another secret, HnM clothing in Japan are 70% of those in Australia. I recently wen't to Japan and got skinny jeans 1500 yen, T shirt 400yen, singlets 300 yen. My partner went crazy, Forever 21 is also another store i can list. This was during Japan summer sales (July Period).

I went to the sales in Nagoya last November and most of this clothing was 990 yen! i got a feather down compact jacket for 2490 yen

  • I like their products. Good quality for the price. But Cheaper in Asia. I'm going to Singapore on transit for a few days in dec so might as well get all the stuff when I'm there.

    • Never been to their store in Singapore, but do they sell winter gear there?

      • Yes they do. They sell winter jackets and the thermal underwear. May be more limited than here but I'm not fussed as I'm looking for summer and spring wear.

They have a 2 floor store in the main shopping district that carries quite a big range. Obviously not as many as in Japan but will do for me.

      • Yes, they do have a small winter range in Singapore. Cheaper than here, but not as cheap as Japan.

  • Bleh, ending up spending over $100 anyway.
Probably extra stupid since I'm heading to China and the Philippines next week.

  • whats the sizing for the down? i got some shirt in japan and the L is quite smaller than au L.
    just worried for sleeve length

  • Just got some slim fit jeans in unusual colours, thanks OP!

  • Good to see Uniqlo coming down here :D No longer do I need to wait til I go back to Asia next year, woot!

  • Pity no click n collect.

  • Shipped! Kathmandu could learn a lot from these guys.

  • just keep in mind that returning items when buying online is painful.
you need to pay for the shipping fee and they have $7 return fee on top of that!

    I wouldn't recommend the cashmere/blend sweater also.
they are quite low quality and need to be hand washed or dry cleaned.
Forget about using the washing machine with delicate/hand wash programme, it basically ruins it, and one wash is enough to ruin the sweater. (As a comparison: Aldi merino stuff can stand the washing machine)

I guess you can't expect much from cheap stuff right?

On the other hand, their heatech stuff are excellent.

  • extended until 1/10.

  • I need some new t-shirts but unsure on size, does anyone know if the Sydney pop-up store has t-shirts in stock to try on (they didnt about a month ago)

    • In general the sizes are a little smaller than AU sizes, I'd suggest going one size up for men's t-shirts.
