Trust me it does. I had th 55f7100 and the software and tv lagged so much to the point i had to get rid of it. I tried 55h7100 in store and it was much smoother experience.
It does, smart hub lags in dual core.
I don't have dual core, I use my Samsung most nights viewing youtube videos no problem no lag and I have an even older model than this
Well your lucky. I had also the 55es7100 which had the same processor and that was even worse. Then i complained to samsung about it and they upgraded to f series but still had similliar symptoms.

That's so weird. I would have thought because my tv is old that it would lag but it pulls up really well, even with call of duty zombies online multiplayer is fineOk tv wise its fine with games and foxtel. With fta the guide hangs sometimes and freezes，with smart features as web browser and apps is where the dual core cpu struggles as it feels very unresponsive at times.
@japik: Have you seem the other guide Samsung uses, I never click the actual guide because as you said it can be slow sometimes, I use the channel list buttom then click yellow button its so much easier and quicker :)
I think quad core speeds up the apps and the program guide, so wouldn't effect the tv viewing experience using FTA or Fox.
Would wait for a 15% deal off the macs from dick… 12% isn't bad if you are pretty desperate though. These deals are becoming too regular now to even seem like genuine deals, just becoming dicks normal pricing.

Keep in mind that the Samsung TV is the "F" model and not the newer "H" model which has been as low as $645 before (not at DSE). I'm not sure if it's worth spending another $100 or so on the "H" model though.
