  • I've had the same email, anyone tried any of these wines before? At this price with free delivery for Melb and Syd surely they can't be making money.

    • They make money later (when you become a member). Surprisingly cancelling is easy.

My wife was gifted some Naked Wines..
They're Cleanskin quality, some are OK, others are not OK.
One was massively over-sulfured.. completely undrinkable on opening, but after a few hours to air was OK.

      • I agree with this review, nothing special and some pretty ordinary.

Be careful with the "angels" offer. I signed up but never received the 3 extra bottles with my first order.

I have cancelled now as don't believe worth the asking price on future orders

      • Yeah I ordered from there once and was definitely underwhelmed by the wines. I'd agree with the cleanskin comparison.

I am a member and if you do your research and read reviews there is definitely good wine to be had. And also, the whole ethos of supporting smaller local winemakers is great. If you can bypass the mass produced , over priced , large chain distributors then its a good thing I reckon.

As a member your account is debited every month - $40. This is your money to spend on wine at any time. It just builds up in your account. If you want to cancel then you are refunded instantly.

I'm a member too. Yes, some of the wines are straightforward mid-week drinkers - but there are some really rather good wines on the list. Taste and learn what you like for your next order. The individual makers seem to appreciate feedback - and offer pointers on other wines to try.

And yes, I joined because I liked the rationale behind the organisation. I do shop at Dan Murphy - but I'm concerned that market concentration is killing diversity and innovation in a wonderful industry.

  • Very reasonable wines for the price

  • Found a $50 wine voucher for nakedwine in this month's Royal Auto Magazine. For first time customers only and minimum of 6 bottles. Go to here and sign up. The code and password should be automatically there, otherwise code: ROYAL14 and password: JPCK14AV. Free shipping is available to Sydney and Melbourne metro customers according to the T&Cs. Hope someone find this useful.

  • I have got wines from Naked before. These wines are priced correctly at 30/doz. They are quite bad wines; equivalent to the Dan Murphy $2.99 cleanskins.
