    Very cheap.
Nearly bought one, then I noticed "Condition: Factory referb"

…never know what to make of that statement. It can be anything from brand new with all the accessories to scritched up returns with other people's pussy earwax on the headphones.

    Hmmm.

    • +1

never heard of a company selling a refurb that wasn't in hygenic condition….especially a company that has something to lose such as Sandisk. It won't do wonders for their reputation if they are allowing distributors to sell damaged products.

It'd be fine I'd say and theres a good chance it'll have an entire new shell altogether. The earbuds would certainly be new anyway.

    • +1

do you think the title is misleading, it didn't mention it's Factory referb at all…

  • MicroSD slot

    Can this handle 8/16GB?

Edit: Can 1saleaday.com.au REP save me ONE if this unit can support 8GB or 16GB!?

    • +2

As far as I know the unit can only support up to 2GB MicroSD with the standard firmware. If you want over 2GB support you will need third party firmware like rockbox.org. However be aware that http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaC200Port states

"Rockbox doesn't function on the v2 models. The v1 hardware uses firmware named 01.xx.xx, while the v2 hardware uses firmware beginning with 03. This version number can be retrieved under Settings->Info."

  • I just bought one, really cheap!!!

  • factory refurb is often undamaged. Ive bought many refurbished items before and theyve all beem great, like new

  • good looks

  • Any info on firmware version 1 or version 2?

    • Second that request. If they are V1 they are much more flexible than V2 (see post above regarding rockbox.org compatibility).

  • stuff it. 20 bux! cant go wrong, definetely buy new headphones after u mentioned the earwax business

  • looks tempting, but I think I'll stick to my 2nd gen Nano.

  • Website is either crashed or dead. :-/

  • this is what i need for my gym session.

  • 270 clicks and down already

    time for a server upgrade?

    • Probably posted in a few other places too. You'd think that the demand would necessarily be that big though. Although for $20 I'd get one if it was a V1 just to play around with rockbox.org

  • Just a warning… There were a lot of problems with some of these… I had bought and returned 2 of them a couple of years back… Kept getting random error messages… Upgraded to an e250 instead…

  • Great deal. I know there were problems with them (as I had returned one previously) but I assume a refurb would have fixed the issue. Bought a few to give as gifts. Not a bad price compared to buying an ipod nano. It has radio, voice recorder, can put in additional memory card, and most of all it is not tied up to any software.

  • Bugger, I'm sick today only just got up.. I would normally have been all over this… now it's sold out! :-(

  • Great deal, sadly sold out.

  • Is a good spot, thanks for posting up - got 2 for me and 2 for a friend.

You should be able to add on SDHC card >2gb - either via the factory firmware or using Rockbox if it's the V1.

Either way nice basic player….word is the stock earbuds are rubbish (as always) so get some decent ones for a massive difference as the sound quality is pretty good from it.

I recommend the entry level Creative EP-630 in ear buds….for about $35. :-D

    • I have the Creative EP-630s, excellent in ear phones. Very bassy, but suits the music I listen to.

      • Yep, providing you get the genuine ones. eBay is flooded with fakes for $10. I have a genuine one that came with my Dell laptop as well as a fake one and the genuine has much better depth and bass.

    • delivered? where? i dont wanna have to use dettol to kill 99.9% of the earwax on the old headphones

    • +1

Or the headdirect re-2 from headphones.com.au. Free shipping at $60.
Sansas have good audio chips (I'm not sure if this one has the same as the clip and fuze), but if you are willing to go a bit further, get the re-0 at $140. They're supposed to rival high-end canalphones like the eytmotic research's er-4p and er-4s, which cost $400 and beyond.

      • cheers mate having a look at them altough they are abit out of my reach

  • HOLY COW - I just received the players I ordered and I am absolutely furious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are not Sansa C250's as advertised and stated on everything from the website to the invoice - but instead the completely different and much older C150!!!!!

    C150 details: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-deta…
    C250 photo: http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/images/Sansa_C250/sansa_c250…

So the differences are absolutely huge (no internal battery, NO EXPANSION SLOT!, different build quality, different file compatibility, different look etc etc etc etc etc)

Compounding this the 4gb MicroSD cards that I ordered from 1SaleADay yesterday are now totally useless to me! WTF am I meant to do with them given this player has no expansion slots!

To say I'm livid is a massive understatement.

HOW does such a stupid thing happen……I'm going to reserve my judgement, but I really can only think this is just affecting me….otherwise this can only be blatant deception as everything from the box to the back of the player itself says C150!

The fact they used a completely different picture on their website is also really troubling to me.

I've already left msgs for 1saleaday, so lets see if they are true to what they say on their website - "Devoted entirely to your satisfaction…"

As I'm exceptionally dissatisfied - have wasted a lot of my time and now have to jump through hoops just to get my money back and then tell people I've already promised a player to that we were mislead.

IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR PLAYER PLEASE POST UP WHAT YOU GOT - C150 or C250?

I can feel a formal complaint to statutory body coming on.

  • Yeah, we messed up Nikko and we're working to fix this ASAP. We'll be in touch with all customers today and hopefully any further inconvenience on your part will be minimal. We really do apologize for this mistake.

Well as the red mist has cleared a tad now…….and I just received a very professional call from a 'James' from 1SaleaDay - I can understand whats happened.

So the frustration etc remains but I have to say James was very professional about the situation - and I have to say that was appreciated very much by myself.

In short, I was told that a full refund or site credit is available…..the players have to be returned to get this - in addition a credit for the players postage will be added to the refund amount (which is only fair).

Suffice to say I will be popping mine back express post in todays post.

James was also good enough to cancel and issue a full refund on the MicroSD cards that I bought the next day after buying these players……which was appreciated and only fair.

Very frustrating as I did a heap of research over the weekend about firmwares and all this other stuff with the anticipation of getting the C250. But look these things do happen - I'm impressed with the way OneSaleaDay seem to be handling it…….I was dreading having to speak to Dept of Fair Trading etc - and thankfully they've been very proactive with turning this around so fair play to them for that.

    :-/

    • yeah got a c100. wat the hell…looks like something i wouldnt even pay 20 bux for if it was brand new

edit: c150 - with a c100 sticker at the front

    • was looking forward to this aswell..i didnt get a call yet

    • Nikko … did they offer to back date the C250 instead?

Was really looking forward this as I have bought a few to give as gifts. With the C150, you can't even expand the memory. I am really really disappointed. I haven't got it yet but got an email from 1saleaday. This just ruined my day.

      • hopefully this is an option, cos i alrady accessorized it up! the 4gb card plus 30 dollar logitech headphones.

  • Some reviews look aweful for the C150. I was reading that it won't be recognised by Vista. The AAA battery requirement is the worst bit. At least 1saleaday are offering refunds (although I don't see how they would get away with not doing so).

  • By email they offered return for complete refund or keep it and get a $10 coupon.
That works out to $9.99 inc delivery for a c150. Clearly not as good a deal as the c250 but not a bad deal on its own. Good present for the kids.
    I might just keep mine.

  • Same thing for me….. i'll return the product and get my money back….

  • same for me, do i contact them as they dont email me at all ???

  • also, as i read from the pdf file manual , the package should include
    Your Sansa Package contains:

  • I'm new to this.. but i got the c150 too. it's not that great . but for $10 . it's okay . it looks fake too .

ummm. i was really looking forward to the c250. but then again.. at least it works

the "stereo headphones" are like chat ear phones.

meh cbf saying.. but whatever they did was pretty much a scam . but thats just my opinion.

  • Lexsus - we're happy to give you a full refund if you'd like. Apologies again.

tutututu - perhaps the email went to your junk email?

    • Hi Zac,

one of the buyer of "C250". either i haven't got the email or it got deleted accidentally. would you mind resend it again ? my 1saleaday user is the same as ozbargain user.

  • its cool . it just got my hopes up .. for abit.

    ++

one time @ woolies i bought some milk . it was on special .

and off the counter it was like 2bucks over . and the sign said cheaper

so they gave it to me for free . so pretty much walked away with 2 cartons of milk. (false advertisement?)

.. unlike this, i cbf sending it back to you guys or whoever to .. lol.
