    How does the referral tie in with this deal?

    Can I get $109 credit for $40 if I'm a new airbnb customer?

      I think that's how it works.

      I joined using the referral link mentioned which gave me $29 credit. I then purchased the coupon for $40 which gave me $80 credit.

      $80 + $29 = $109 credit for $40

          Interestingly, there's also a $100 min spend, so theoretically the max discount is 40%. There's some sneaky crap going on.

          It's impossible to use two coupons on Airbnb - you can either use the OurDeal Coupon or the first time user sign up.

          You basically enter the code just before you pay, both the discount code and referral code go into the same field so it's either or.

      They tend to close multiple accounts under the same name/paid with same name credit card.

      Given that you need to verify your ID by uploading drivers license, link social media account, you'd be risking having the voucher cancelled.

        Seems like even if you are able to create a second account, when it comes to booking, you may need to be verified first..(if the host has verified).

        AirBnB will probably verify ID.
        Plenty of email addresses to go around, but only 1 set of identification documents.

      logged in just to downvote. Don't blame your user incompetence and misunderstanding of the product or service offered on airbnb. The VERY first thing that happens when you click "sign up" is a box pops up which states "By signing up, I agree to Airbnb's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Guest Refund Policy, and Host Guarantee Terms."

      I'm sure you just "agreed" because who has time to read that stuff right? If you don't know what you're signing up for, then don't sign up.

    As for the wiki entry, when I enquired about having Air Bnb added to the list of referrals Scotty (I think it was) told me that Air Bnb had informed OzB they didn't want referrals posted here. Has that changed?

    Has anyone successfully used both the referral credit and this voucher?

    I would not mind if they have to be used for 2 distinct bookings. But just looking at the T&C they both seem to apply to the first booking only. In that case I'd rather only use the referral with $29 and no strings attached instead of spending $40 up front to save $40.

      You would only be able to use one coupon. Once you use your $80 for $40 from OurDeal, the $29 will not be automatically applied for the second booking.

    I managed to find the coupon code under OurDeal's account settings, but the coupon is actually for $79, not $80!

    Misleading advertising!

    Hi,
    It worked for me. I received $80 off my booking which really just paid for the $83 Airbnb service fee, but hey, it's better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick!
