Useful holder also for those with cases and if you upgrade between phones. Thanks MM.

Have used this holder before (from a different seller) and can honestly say it's a pain in the arse to attach/detach.

  • Do the suction ones work well?

    • +1

      No. See my comment below.

ITS UTTER CRAP. DO NOT BUY.

    Source: I've owned one.

Despite positive inintial impressions, its not good enough to hold my S3. The arm moved under the weight of the phone. Then the suction wasn't good enough anyway, I could have cracked my phone screen with it falling off the way it did. Then the rubber seal broke, and the whole thing had to go in the bin.

How long before it broke? Mine going strong after 2 months.

      • +2

I have one as well and it's been holding on strongly for about a year. It's mounted on the top of the centre aircon vents (so the surface is quite flat). The only time it has fallen off is when the car was parked under the sun in a hot day.

      • I bought 3 some months age. They don't last long - cheap and flimsy product. You loose money on this product. Not recommended!! You'll need to buy about 6 of these to last a year.Cheap plastic that gets brittle very quickly in the sun.

      • It sat in the car unused for about 3 months, then broke within about 2 weeks. I tried to put my phone "the proper way" (hard up in the corner), so no doubt some extra vibration against the dash didn't help it. But with an arm that rotates under the weight of the phone, you're not going to have a different experience.

I have one of these and I have used it for about 2 months now.

It holds my Note 3 firmly and the suction hasn't came off the window yet.

I actually love it. Got mine from eBay!

      The two month test huh?

  • +5

I've got this exact one from eBay. Been using for about 6 months now and it is annoying to clip the phone in (thr spring is really strong) and it also blocks the volume buttons unless you clip it off centre.

But otherwise it's pretty well constructed as the suction is still working well and it doesn't wobble or anything. I'd say worth the money.

    • Im another in the 'agree' boat. Although the suction does come off once a blue moon (never while I've had my Nexus 4 clipped in), for the money I'd say this is a gadget worth trying, esp. for the price.

        I'd say worth the money.

Not for this price though, the people who are + voting this deal are doing it wrong. You are not suppose to + vote the deal because you like to product. You are suppose to use the + vote if you know the product is the best value for money, which it is not as you can get it cheaper elsewhere. You could argue your way to a + vote if Tmart have either an excellent service record or are local store. Neither of which apply to Tmart.

You can get the exact same thing on ebay from a seller with relatively good feed back for 33% less than tmart.

Code: tm5ct works for 5% off as well.

I've owned one and the material quality of the rubber suction is pretty poor where it can easily melt on a hot day compared to others I've tried.

To those who bought one. Good luck in cleaning the melted rubber gunk, specially with summer coming.

    • Great response to this offer 'comment wise' I must say. I'd be happy to pay 5-$20 for a decent one…
      I'm afraid I might give this a miss as +/- seems ~ 50/50.

Anyone have any recommendations??? Would be greatly appreciated,

I guess we could all agree that short of literally 'screwing' one of these things onto one's dashboard, would
be the only way to ensure the things wouldn't fall off.

I've been putting my phone into the 'sunglass' drop down from above the mirror in my SUV, but this then blocks
my rear view mirror vision by ~50%.

      • I've got the Arkon Slim-Grip Ultra, (approx ~$30 ebay, you might find cheaper) good quality matched it with an air vent mount. Holds my S3 firmly and takes a good beating. Just might not be in your price range.
Slim-Grip (non-ultra) is cheaper but a little smaller and not as rugged. Had this one first and the plastic arms eventually fatigued over a year of use.

Any idea if supports iPhone 6 plus?

    • I'm guessing not. The clamp pressure would probably bend the phone.

      (:

On a serious note, someone mentioned using a Note 3 with it so, dimensions wise, your 6+ should be fine.

  • I have one of these for my work van and it fits my note 2 very well, i even has a rubber case no so thick but works even with the case on.
i have had it for about a week now and i can't complain.

Personally i have always purchased Pleomax phone holders for my family from eBay. They run at about 23-25 aud. Some higher end one at 40- jbhifi sells for 50-60. This brand is made by Samsung subsidiary in South Korea. Very sturdy, good suction, looks nice, lasts a long time (have tested one for over a year, still feels like new). Well worth the money.

They are made for Samsung devices, but works with most phone. Check measurements first.

Just my 2 cents, if I didnt put it here, you probably will never know these ones exist.
