      So most items you pay for in this "service" are just inspections and checks. What's the bargain? This is a standard price.

      And can you please explain how you inspect a fuel filter?

        Yeah look, unfortunately I have to agree with pmupsinep… This is not a bargain price at all. I personally change my oil and oil filter - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/136870 and get a discount on my service because of that, but even if I didn't, the going price is about $99 (give or take on what specials are at the time)

        Your 'competitors' do exactly what you have outlined for a far cheaper price. Some even for $89. No bargain to be had here. Thanks for trying though.

We will provide you with a quotation for any additional work or parts that your vehicle may require or that we may suggest for safe and reliable motoring. We will only proceed with any additional work with you consent.

        Kmart Auto Service and other mechanics offer minor car service ranging from $149-$159, but Legacy Auto Care offers $129 plus 10% discount.

  Although I do feel sorry for reps sometimes because they're trying to promote their small business, the harsh reality is that there are places that do the same thing, but cheaper (i.e. around $99 you see on the back of shopping dockets etc).

  Rep, if you can be more reasonable on the price, say $90 or less, then that may get some people interested.

  However, as it stands, $129 + 10% off isn't really a bargain to us. Sorry if we're coming off rude/mean, but that's the reality of it…

  Can anyone recommend me some good car service places near Carnegie VIC please? I have been paying approximately $170/minor service + wash and from what I read here, that price seems to be really high.
  My car is a Honda Accord Euro 2007 tho.

  Sonnys autocare in Endeavour Hills (which is <10mins from Roweville) is $89 for a minor service as the regular price. So this doesnt seem like much of a bargain.
