  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/161512 …these have been cheaper

Would be interested on the quality and accuracy, anyone used them?

    • different scale but yes it was cheaper

    • Yes, very good

I just purchased ipad air 2 last night…

      How is it?

        A great toy.

        • +2

Surface Pro 2 + bonus type cover for $637 would have made a good toy too.

  • the laser scale does not seem to be accurate

  • Good prices on the Surface Pro 2. Pity they don't have the 256/8 combo on special.

  • Thank you, but the $5 signup does not work: I signed up with 2 different email addresses and 2 different names, and I have not received any voucher (~10min).

    • Just tried if on another email and I got code applied and it worked. I made a new Hotmail addy and used that

      • One of the two email is a Hotmail too. I tried signing up with that email again and I now get this error:
"Sorry! There was an unexpected error. Please try again."

So I guess the first time it went through, but still have not received the voucher on either email address.

EDIT: Nop, tried with a 3rd email address (gmail this time) and still no voucher…

        • ok try using a family members email :)

        • @TRENT86:

No, I tried 3 times, it failed 3 times, I am going to pass now. Not going to catch a cancer because of a half-working sign up system :) Thanks anyway.

And yes I have tried updating and checked junk / spam folders (gmail, hotmail and yopmail).

        • @Zirkaloy: Maybe it's just taking a while to arrive- Hopefully, check back later :)
EDIT: Just arrived man in my dads email :)

          @TRENT86:

Yeah same, got the codes later in the afternoon. Got one of the Logitech X100 for the bathroom, to listen to music in the shower.

Here are the two remaining codes I have not used, for those who are interested:

          • Welcome5AC55KC2CEF2R
          • Welcome5KO060MLDMXY5
        • Cheers @zirkaloy, saved me $5. Didn't have time to wait for the code!

Also, the UE miniboom speakers are great, very loud!

    • Try mailinator.com ;)

  • PM Me if you want my code

  • Crap. I lost my unifying receiver. Bought one on eBay for 15 (local stock). The 11.95 mouse looks like it hasa unifying receiver. Oh well.

Might get the sd card for my Dad. Minus 5 dollars makes it cheap.

      Unfortunately it's min $25 spend , you will need to buy 3 or 2 + $1 item :)

      • Thanks for that info. Missed the small print. Worked all day and tired. Guess I'll be having a collection of unifying receivers.

  • thanks..

  • +2

Thanks OP. I'm finally going to pull the trigger on a bluetooth speaker. The mini boombox at $53.50 (if the code comes through) is a great price!

    • +1

it will just wait around 10-15 mins :)

http://www.harveynorman.com.au/cameras-printers-ink/printing… looks like a deal for people looking for a good printer. Compatible cartridges on ebay are around $5 each.

    • +1

I'm thinking about the cheap HP printer. I've survive at home without one for 2 years but for $23 and cartridges on eBay for $11 it could be worth the convenience. Thoughts?

      • +1

Or maybe the Epson XP-100 for $39 and ink that costs $1.50-$3 on eBay.

        • Bought it. Now I'm hoping HN can price match the OW deal.

        • @sween64:

Hahah, just saw that posted today for $30. After a few days or weeks you will forget about the couple $ difference and just will be happy having a printer in your house.

      • Guess it depends on what you want, do you want one for just printing, or do you need one that connects to a home network or one that prints wirelessly from anywhere?

Just get fake beats pill off ebay, I bought one for my sister for $25AU and it sounds great.

  • Bought that $53 Logitech bluetooth speaker. Pretty nice price, and it gets okay reviews for what it is. Perfect for the beach this summer.

    • Tossing up between the $23 and 53 logitech portable speakers…

      • I was too. I think the bigger one will better fill a 'space' - eg. a bbq with a few people around picnic etc. If it's just for solo listening the smaller one will do the job I reckon.

        • Get both and the one you don't like give it to someone as an xmas present :)

  • I recommend the Logitech X300 over the Mini Boom for sound quality. Downsides of the X300: Half the battery life, a little larger, awkward shape, no equaliser and battery monitor app. But for me it's all about sound quality. They're available at Office works for $63.

Also there is a workaround for poweroff if you want to use the X300 (which powers off after 15 mins if no sound played) as hands free. Plug something into the audio in socket. They will only power off if battery powered.

  • decent price for a surface pro2

  • SD cards are back to full price.

  • managed to pickup a boom @ this price b4 consulting ozbargain. Broke my purchasing rule of thumb to consult the mighty Oz first but turns out the deal was posted anyway

  • Gosh, have to say that I am a bit disappointed with the sound quality of the Logitech mini boom. For the same sort of money, you are much better off getting a Photive Cyren - delivers a much richer sound. Oh well, this Logitech I'll throw into the bag for the beach.
