      + Heaps More

    • @shaunpud: Hi, I was wondering even if it is discontinued stock, but if another store has many, ask if they are willing to move one to your store?
I do understand about stock levels at stores not reflecting the reality, but sometimes the different store may help each other out? A phone call or two will save wasting more time in person.
Or they may even have a policy of not moving one "inter-store".
Maybe you could offer an extra $5 for transport cost to help the deal along?
It will show you are genuine and sometimes they want a really happy customer? :-)

Inks for it are quiet expensive and if one colour is out then the scanner or the printing will not work. Cheap but too much troubles to get it working properly.

    • +4

For $30 it's cheaper than even bothering about replacement inks.

Durabrite inks ARE good, however, and with this one at least there are only 4 of them, not six like our previous Epsom printer, and they're only $13 a pop instead of the $25 that they were.

      Might be worthwhile for some.

The trouble with ours was that we rarely used it, and in the several months it would be sitting idle they'd dry up. We ended up getting refillable cartridges for it, but even then, probably haven't used it in a couple of years, just use the b&w laser. The only reason we keep it really is becasue it has slide-scanner capability.

      Yes, QUIET expensive.

I've got one, and recently bought one for my parents ($39 from officeworks).
Works well, although after a year I've just got the low ink warning on my black starter cartridge - I don't print much these days (plus I mainly use my mono laser for black only prints).

These take the XL200 large capacity cartridges, that work out good value per page, plus you can buy a set of 4 'compatibles' on ebay for about $12 delivered.

      Are they pigment inks?

  • The way these Epson inkjets get blocked heads, $30 for a disposable printer seems the way to go.

None left at Nunawading, VIC. Only a floor model left at Box Hill South, VIC. I'm going to try my luck at Chadstone.

    No stock at Chadstone, VIC.

Available for $39 at Harvey Norman with a $5 code. They have stock.

  • never mind, found the answer

  • bought my one at 39 some time ago. still going strong however i only use it scanning. Bought some ink off ebay in case i decide to ever print and supposedly you can't scan if you out of ink.

wish the lid will stay up when you putting receipts in.

Guys, don't mean to put a dampener on this deal (it is a great deal), however save yourself the hassle and crap of inkjet printers and just pay a little more for a laser. It's well worth it.

I found out after years of using crappy inkjet printers.

  • Limited stock generally means display or damaged/faulty machine that cannot be sold.
    Good luck finding one.

  • go get XP-200 it's around $55 and works great. Comes with WIFI, it's quiet and super compact.

  • All new printers come with toners or cartridges that are half full, so it's best to purchase additional spares.

Many stock that may show up in the system can be customer returns that are faulty, and times the system can have delays, best to give one of the stores a call.

  • Don't waste money on inkjet printers, especially if you print only occasionally. Cartridges and head would dry up (+ dust too) and get damaged if you don't use often.

A cheap mono laser is better (eg: Brother HL-1110). Buy a scanner separately. You can perhaps save space too!

  • Thanks …
