this is already up for the aus store, surely its a dupe?

    • This is the US Store.

The other was the AU Store

May benefit USA residents that frequent the Ozbargain forum lol

      • This is the US Store.
The other was the AU Store

        i realise this
is there any apps in the us store than arent in the .au store?

        • Amazon USA and Amazon AU are 2 separate entities = different stores = different deals

If you had issues with an app you bought off the AU store and contacted the US store, they would ask you to go back to AU customer service.

@easternculture: I doubt this. I have two accounts, both US and AU and just tried to "buy" Plex and got the "You already own this app" message.
          They must be linked.

          @Flyerone:

incorrect, i have Plex for US store and AU store on 2 different phones. Just means that u may have purchased it or got it for free from another Amazon freebie

        • yea i got exactly the same message when i did it before originally commenting.

oh well lets see what the mods say when they get to my report i guess

urgh, now ive caught the dupe bug…

        • @easternculture: why should i have to block deals i want to see just because you feel its your right to post dupes?

          @nosdan:

apparently the Ozbargain community doesn't agree with you .. its already at 34 votes

Its not all about you, i post these deals to benefit my fellow ozbargainers. If it really offends you, then don't click on the deal from the beginning

        • @easternculture: where did i ever say i was somehow offended? i was simply asking you to clarify why this wasnt a dupe, as my second comment/question was if there was an app in this deal that wasnt in the .au one. if theres even a single app in this deal that isnt the other one i would have been more than happy to see it stay, if not then its simply a dupe and should be removed as such. simples!

          edit:

apparently the Ozbargain community doesn't agree with you .. its already at 34 votes

since when did this become OzPopularityContest? if you have ever read pretty much any of my comments i care little about who does and dosnt agree with me, ever :D

@nosdan: Both of OPs post today for Cokerewards and amazon apps were posted after the original posts and were never given credit to those ;)

    • +10

this is for the US store - not everyone wants to/has transitioned to the AUS store

      Edit: Quick response EC!

      @nosdan:
The original listing by the actual Amazon rep should be given full credit (and votes) IMO. What an amazing offer from them.

        i completely agree

Been waiting for this since the AU store promotion. Thanks heaps, EC

Thus indicating your awareness of the offer and it not being unique.

  • +1

Thanks heaps EC, I'm still using the US account for the Amazon coins.
Already had Plex but some other apps will come very handy indeed.

Just a reminder….. grab Plex…if you have Chromecast…. you would want Plex :)

  • If someone could create an app/macro that does the whole "1-click buy" for every one of these apps automatically, I think I'd give them my kidney! 45 tabs, 90 clicks later….

Thanks Eastern Culture for posting this up :)

    • I did a greasemonkey script for books, probably will work for apps with a little tweaking.

      • edit: ignore me, duh, that was a link to it!

    • Make it one of your livers and you have a deal! I wrote one the other day be reporpoising a perl script with WWW::Mechanize::Firefox to 'buy' all the books that TightArse has been posting. Total overkill, but it works!

    • This Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey script will add any free apps you click on to your library: http://pastebin.com/B9ULaYkC

Apparently there's 2 PvZ versions and one of them isn't compatible with my phone (not to mention it seems as if it's the outdated one).

  • Edited.
    My mistake.

  • thanks heaps was hoping for the us to have the apps
and extra credit for the webpage

Thanks, I had so much trouble trying to turn my territory back to Aus, I gave up and used this one instead.

  • I spent 1 hour set up AU account and use android virtual machine just so I can use amazon 1 click for this new AU account for the amazon AU deal, then I saw this @@.

    • +2

All the app sales are 90% the same they just start at different times depending what region you're in.

      • Thanks, didn't know this.
Next time I will just wait.

  • I haven't been able to connect my account to the Aus site, but not overly concerned as long as they keep duping the deals…

  • +3

To all reporting this as a Dupe:

"Please note the Amazon AU and Amazon USA are separate entities and are managed by different teams. And Amazon Coins can only be used from the store you initially got them from"

    • This deal (posted 30/10/2014 - 17:36) is a duplicate of my comment (posted 30/10/2014 - 16:24)

      :-P

  • Perfect deal! But I can't download an app due to geographic restriction, how can I deal with this?

  • +1

I paid for plex a few weeks back with my free survey money. So technically it was still free…. Right?

  • -1

Amazon Au also got the same free apps like USA. My a/c is with AU, so just checked AU store and downloaded icebreaker, and Plex for free.

    • It was posted as a separate deal earlier in the day

  • -1

    Thanks a lot op

The thing I hate about Amazon is that they force the app to download, I wish you could add it to your account and download later

    • +5

Buy them from a PC web browser and it is added to your Amazon digital locker. Install on your device (from the Amazon app) at your discretion.

  • Has this offer expired? I can't them for free - the price for the item is on there?
