VF Pocket WiFi 3GB 3G $19 at Coles

340

Similar to this deal by Trent, the Pocket Wifi's are again $19 each. Fine print claims that the data expires after 30 days, presumably after activation. Limit of 1 per customer as well. Seems like a good deal if you can activate it later on!

EDIT: I should note that this was found on the back of today's mx magazine.

it's a bit hard to find it, tried 3 different coles.

    No stock near me :(
The usual form from Coles "we're only a small store, we don't get a big allocation"

  • How easy/hard is it to unlock these?

    • +2

Believe it or not, I think they're unlocked. I just put in a TPG/Optus SIM into mine and it picked up the network fine, according to the display on it. I haven't tried doing data with it though.

      • Hmm OK.

        • +2

From the comments of the last deal, it should be unlocked already, if it's not, you can get the code from Vodafone online.

        • @awoff1: Thanks! Also thanks eug.

Good. I sent my wife in this morning (after she did the dishes) and they didn't know what she was talking about.
Only joking… I got her to do the dishes after.
(No, seriously I actually do most of the dishes and shopping but she was doing the shopping today.)

  • Bought last stock Hurstville\westfield plus rainchecked at station there another for when 30days depleted. Feels a solid unit compared Mf60.

  • Anyone checked the Richmond, VIC store for stock of these?

  • +3

You can also pick them up in KMart for $19.50, limited stock.

  • Just picked one up at greenacres SA

  • Persistent.. went to Coles near Warwick Farm NSW no stock, the counter lady made call to Coles Wattle Grove no stock.. after I made my own call to Coles Wattle Grove and magically they had 2 stocks! managed to grab 1.. good luck if you are after the last one there.. Vodafone outlet is selling this for 29.95 (they asked if I have an account with them first)

  • anyone has use this modem overseas?

    • +1

It's unlocked, so I don't see any reason why you can't use this overseas. (Using Telstra atm)

Got one from Victoria gardens, VIC as of yesterday. None in Glenferrie or Westfield Doncaster.

    • I'm outraged. I rang Thursday night and they said they had none !

  • Bought one for $19. It's already unlocked. Works with a Dodo SIM.

    • Mine said "limited service" . Is it mean it locked? It show yes optus on the screen but no signal at all. (:

      • Have you changed the APN?

  • Called up East Gardens Coles in Pagewood NSW and had one put aside. Don't know if they had/have any more stock.

    • Bought, despite my asking they took one off the shelf without checking for the one they said over the phone they'd hold for me & there were two left as well as a couple of most catalogue phone products.

And, can the SIM be used in an unlocked LTE device to get Vodafone 4G mobile broadband?

  • 2 left at N Rocks KMart after I bought mine:)
    None at N Rocks Coles
