logitech x100 was on $23 at harvey norman last week.

    • +2

And eneloops were $2 a few days ago

      • +23

        They think we're dumb guys.

        • +1

Looks like there are some dumb ones lol

      • In all fairness that was a major promotional code used to pick those up for $2, none the less $10 is still less than $14.99.

All the other "deals" seem like cheap speakers which the majority of us probably wouldn't have a use for.
The cables are decent if you have a use for them I guess.

Edit: they're tropical eneloops, actually not too bad of a price for tropical. They're the higher quality ones. I've seen them for a few $ less, though none-the-less still a semi decent price.

        • How are the tropical ones better?

Edit: someone mentioned below that they're the older Japanese-manufactured ones.

        • Good old DSE, got the same manufacturer code on both, clearly they are not the same.

The tropical might have slightly higher capacity but they only promise 1900mAh for both types.

  • Yo yo gift cards.

  • +9

The Eneloop tropicals on the OZB Halfies list are the old Japanese ones with the lower discharge rate and Sanyo branding. If you want the old Japanese ones instead of the new Chinese chocolate ones, I suggest you pick up a pack.

    • +2

The Tropical ones seem to be 3rd (older) generation with 1800 cycles.
The Chocolat ones seem to be 4th generation with 2100 cycles.

      See:

      http://budgetlightforum.com/node/7336

    • although in the picture yes, it is unfortunately not what shipped - we now have Chinese tropicals…

      • Chinese tropicals hmmm OK that's the first sighting I have heard of.

      • That's better not what I'll be getting or these will go straight back. The item I've purchased clearly was described as made in Japan.

  • When adding bluetooth to cart comes up as $79.98 applied coupon comes down $39.99. On the link it shows up $34.98 without coupon applied. Please fix

Thanks for letting us know. This should be resolved now. Happy shopping!

  • Hey rep, how about you do us more of the Navman GPS's from this mornings deal. I would have bought 1 if your server didn't suck

  • no discount for click and collect?

    • ok my mistake. all sorted

Another pack of eneloop batterys bought

Must not buy anymore or my wife will kill me

      Misus likes Eneloops!
The Eneloops keep her vibrator (for massage purpose only) going and going!

      • +1

Back in the old day they used their phone.. that was back when every manufacturer tried to make phones smaller and smaller. Nowadays they are making them bigger and bigger, and they no longer fit.. :/

  • BOOOO!!! Code not working =(

  • +3

Wow, another exclusive. Soon DSE will rename all their stores to OzDSE.

Hey rep, could you do a PS4 bundle deal?

Maybe something slightly better than this:
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/gaming/sony-ps4-console-dsau-yg1…

  • 50% of $29.98 is $19.99?

    ENELOOP AA Chocolat 8pk - $19.99

    • Ah thanks for that, didn't notice Chocolat AA & AAA's were different prices.

  • Would anyone recommend that $14.98 overnight charger? The 'Sanyo' eneloop quick charger is around $50.

    • Overnight chargers are simply timed rather than smart chargers. In other words, they don't simply completely charge the batteries then stop; they charge until the timer ticks off.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though this is what I was told when asking about Eneloop chargers on the forums.

      • +1

Thanks. Might give this one a go. The Eneloop journey shall begin!

Simple answer: much slower charge, longer battery life tradeoff.

Since eneloop hold charge well this is the best way to use them, ie. always have a few charged up ready to replace.

    Hi Rep
Can you offer any deal on the Eneloop Quick Charger please?

    • +1

Eneloop Quick Chargers are the Holy Grail of bargains

  • Thanks :)

    • use OZBCABLES for cables

Hey Rep, if you wanna make friends here and fix up some ill will, please consider giving Ozbargainers a go at today's failed DSE Navman deal,it's a page or so back.
    Big fail all round.

  • Can someone explain to me where to use a gift card (with pin) on the Shopping cart page?
I can see where to input promotion codes, but buggered if I can see where to put the gift code info. :(

    • +1

After you click Proceed To Checkout and enter your details, you'll see it.

      • Ahhhhh… I was going straight to Pay by Paypal. :D
        Thanks. :)

        Edit:
FFS… If I would have continued with the Paypal payment, there's also a spot to use gift cards.
        I'm pathetic. :D

  • No click and collect on batteries?

  • Navman GPS was a remarkable failure this morning, DSE please show some respect to ppl's time and willingness to shop from you. Please make sure you have enough stock to at least last for 5-10 minutes and a website that can accommodate enough Ozbargainers. Mr. Store rep please convey my message to your management. Ta

    I'm still waiting for my $10 e-gift card from 3 weeks ago…

    • I think they had an IT problem during that promotion where Paypal payments were accepted but no orders created in their system. I messaged them via their Facebook page and it was sorted out very quickly.

      • +2

Still waiting for Dick to sort mine out. They assumed I paid by PayPal & said they were refunding to my account. Trouble is I paid by Woolies Gift Card. They consider the matter fixed, but never got what I bought or refund & they won't respond!

  • Thanks, Rep - great deal on some standard cables I always seem to need more of ;-)

  • +3

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/sony-extra-bass-headphone-black-…

Same headphones in black are priced at $39.98 can I have them half price?

  • +1

Grabbed some of the AA 'loops. Hopefully better this time than Dick's effort on the 9th. They cancelled my order without bothering to either inform me or issue a refund.

    • I have only orderd the eneloop batteries from dick smiths online and I have had no problem with the delivery

But then again I wouldn't order anything else fdrom them

  • +1

Unfortunately the Eneloop overnight and standard chargers have been out of stock at every Dick Smith in Brisbane since at least last week.

  • good deal for the eneloop charger + 4 batteries, now i have a charger for my eneloops from catch!

  • Rep, any idea why the "only $5 with any purchase" items are all full priced at the moment… eg… $44.98 for the HDMI cable…

  • needed a TOS cable - so this was perfect! Thx.

  • Cable's aren't showing as $2?

Code is saying "Coupon code "OZBHALFIES" is not valid." for me

    • +2

Enter the code OZBCABLES at the checkout to get these cables for $2

I did the same thing, but it's a different code ^

  • Thanks, bought Tropical Eneloops and 2 RCA cables and 2 Tos Link cables. While I appreciate the deal, the $27 RRP of the DS cables is a bit disheartening.

  • Code not working with the tropical batteries

  • Nice, bought a pack of the AA Eneloop Tropical using my 2x $10 gift cards which were purchased for $5 each on the previous 50% off gift card deals. Although shame it's delivery only at $2 a pop!

Also scored a pack of AAA Eneloop Chocolate ones from the COTD $1.98 deal.

I'm an Eneloop virgin so happy with my first 2 packs at crazy bargain prices =P

Now to look for a charger…

    • -7

virgins are so easy to please nowadays, if only there were more of them…

    • +1 for looking for a charger. me too.
any suggestions? I know its come up before but can you direct those of us that are charger-less to a few stand out options ?

  • Thanks. Bought AAA Chocolat and AA Tropical for 32 shipped.

ENELOOP AAA Chocolat 8pk is also $14.99, not $19.99

    • Just got them today. both are made in China. :(

  • Great exclusive deals!

  • lol…everyone asking the rep for deals as if it's his store…ozbargainers ;)

  • I had to go looking for AAA's a couple days ago! Looks like there's more eneloops coming!

  • My delivery charge was $4.95 for tropical eneloop so didn't bother.

    • $2 shipping was only til end of Friday.

  • Brilliant website DSE:
    Subtotal: $29.98
    Collection Fee: $0
    Discount: -$44.97
    Total -$14.99

However I am prevented from claiming because you can't mix click and collect and delivery on the same order, and the $5 delivery on the batteries makes it less appealing to order them, why not click and collect both :(

  • Rep, only the TOSLINK cable is $2. The other two are $4 & $6. Is that an error ?

  • What the hell ? I'm still waiting for my eneloops that I ordered 4 weeks ago.. When I complained they said they were out of stock ( these are for the chocolate batch ) and have already issued a refund and now they are still advertising them again?

    What gives Dick?

Don't tell me get contact with Dicks support team cause they are useless..

  • +1

I just got the tropicals and they are made in China <profanity> me

    • I'd raise it with DS…

      This is what's advertised:

Eneloop celebrates another "milestone" in the continued development and progression of its "Ready to Run" rechargeable NiMH batteries by offering the limited edition "AA" batteries in tropical colours which not only have a typical 2000mAh capacity but has a recharge cycle of up to 1,800 times.

      Features and General Specifications

8 piece pack in tropical colours
      2000mAh capacity
      1.2V per cell
      Pre-charged - ready to run
Retains up to 70% of their capacity after 5 years storage once fully charged
      Rechargeable up to 1,800
      Times made in Japan

      • Ugh! How do you undo votes? I just gave you a neg. :( Fingers are too fat for my phone.

But yes, take it up with DS. If I get chinese-made ones these will be going straight back!!!

  • They are new version eneloops made by Panasonic made in China

  • I just got mine today and they are also Panasonic eneloop batteries (2000mAh, 65% capacity retention, recharge up to 2100 times, made in China). I've sent DSE an email asking for the right product as my experience with the Chinese v Japanese has clearly favoured the Japanese Sanyo versions..

    • I've also submitted an email about this too and requested for the correct ones.

Keep us posted on the correspondence, as will I.

  • Same here. My chinese-made tropicals arrived today. Yet again had to contact Dick Smith about getting the wrong product. Let's see if they reply this time without me having to involve third parties.

  • Anyone's Tropical Eneloops still on Awaiting Fulfilment? It's been a week.. last time I waited 3 weeks before asking what happened to my Rouge ones (which were substituted by Chocolat ones)
