So 14% off, plus a further 9% from the Coles DSE gift card bonus, plus the GST back when I travel overseas soon = about a third off the regular price.

    • See above I don't think you can use Coles Dse gift cards to get 9% off any more

    • Assuming that GST can be claimed back, then I believe the savings are as follows:
      Savings = (1-(.86 x (10/11) x .91)) x 100 = 28.85% saving
Including, as you said, 14% off, further 9% off due to gift cards and the GST back which is 1/11th of the purchase price :)

      Without GST back:
      Saving = 1-(.86 x .91) x 100 = 21.74% saving

So an overall difference of 7.11% if the GST cannot in fact be reclaimed when using gift cards

      • i got/will be getting the following:

        14% off this promotion
10% off gift cards (effective) - paid with them mostly bar remaining $0.14
        10% GST on TRS

        i win.

guy at click and collect was quite desperate to sell me a case, software, applecare etc. wonder why lol

        • Its called sales quota!

  • 3800 clicks and first 200 customers?

Do they actually enforce the limit?

If 1 in 10 click through from here make a purchase, the 200 would be gone in no time. Not to mention other shoppers and people that didn't click through from here.

LOL 200 customers is a load of crap, its a tactic to get us to rush and buy

Bought the MacBook Pro with Retina Display 13.3" 2.8GHz.

Had to rush to local Good Guys to compare sizes with 15".. way too big for me. Already got an iMac so makes sense to just get the 13".

Better not get cancelled. Thanks :D

  • Thanks. Classic MBP died (hopefully they will issue a recall) but managed to get a 15" MBP with over $419.86 discount.

  • For Click/Collect it says wait for the store acknowledgment email. Is this crutial? Or has anyone been able to get their order the same day?

    • Call the store best bet. Took them 2 weeks to reply to me once only to say no stock.

  • After missing out on the last Mac Mini sale before the new models came out (would have preferred the i7 2012 one for the price), I decided to upgrade to the i5 2.6GHZ version. Soldered RAM is annoying, but for a home theatre setup the Mac Mini is great and mine's a little old. This will be a nice upgrade from my 2011 model. Thanks OP and Dick!

My wife just got a Mac Book Pro Ret 13.3 after wanting one for YEARS

  • Hi guys. I have a MacBook pro retina mid 2012, I always use boot camp and hence use windows 8 on my Macbook pro 95% of the time. I want to know if I buy an iMac , can I use dual display whilst on boot camp windows 8 on my MacBook pro.

If this is possible, which iMac should I get knowing that it will be used as a display port to my MacBook pro most of the times , would the 5k resolution iMac be a problem since it is different resolution to my MacBook pro?

    • No sure about boot camp and dual display on imac.

The new retina 5K imac can't act as an external display as DP 1.2 does not support this high resolution.

You will need a Thunderbolt cable if you want to use the any iMac newer than 2011 as an external display using Target Display Mode.

  • So you can't use wish gift cards at DSE anymore?

  • Looks like I am taking back my second 27inch iMac in less than a week tomorrow. Bought the standard 27inch iMac last Tuesday and Apple employee said he could do better than my price match and gave me 10% off. Went back on Thursday and swapped for 5k and they would only price match that and not give me 10% off like the first iMac. If they had of given me the 10% off I probably would not have bothered taking back for around $100 difference however now or $240 difference I am taking back. Stupid me in the first place but thanks for the poster for saving me $240.

    • Thanks very much again OP. Click and collect for 5k iMac tomorrow and can return this one at the same time as apple store and dick smith very close together.

  • Just Bought Macbook pro retina 13

Hopefully will get hands on in few days..
    Thanks Oz Bargain !!

Thx Op, got my new 13 inch mac today!

  • Excellent! Bought my first ever Mac computer today (rMBP 13.3 256Gb)! Looking forward to joining the dark side!

    • Best combination right there. You will probably never go back after switching.

  • Bought a 27" iMac retina for $2,579.14 after 14% off then I used $1,100 DSE gift cards that I bought for $1,000 at Coles so out of pocket I was $2,479.14. Also used starthere.com.au (I know Apple products are excluded but it is always worth a try).

Only thing I regret was not buying enough DSE gift cards. Wasted $140 :( because I originally only wanted a plasma TV but they seem to be extinct.

Possibly the best deal I've ever seen posted here. Just picked up my click & collect Retina iMac order from Vic Gardens for $2579 saving $420, and I was this close to paying $2999!

  • Picked up in store today, sales are so desperate to sell me apple care and Microshit.
