Map 140 Random Coffee Pods $10 (RRP $89) - Target

620

So was looking for a new coffee machine and saw these. Same boxes that came free with the $59 Map Mia real.

Had 3 left when I was there. Considering that a 10 pack costs $5 these are really cheap, but are assorted so depends if you want to gamble.

Don't know if it's nationwide but if they are I imagine they would go fast.

Enjoy

  • Will check out at my local Target.
Maybe worth noting that these are compatible with the Aldi coffee machine.

No, they are NOT. The pods will fit, yes, but the filter is in the opposite end of the pod. I know this because we pulled them apart to compare when we noticed that the machine seemed to be straining while using them.

  • Expiry date?

You are a star ghostbuster! This is why I love OzB. If I could give you more than 1 vote, I would.

Just scored the last box at Target Epping, so definitely a national deal. Cheers mate :)

I've got Vittoria, MAP, Aldi, Nespresso.

The MAP was from the 140 pod & machine deal. AMAZING value, I use in the lunch-shed on a construction site. I bought the deal twice, for the pods. Made coffees for 20-30 work-mates over the last few months. 280 pods used in ~4mths (2 pods per coffee). General concensus: "Yeah, not bad". That's about it. Not many asked for another (and I was doing everything for them, work paying for milk). The coffee seems to lack, well, everything. It's like coke zero/diet.

The machine & coffee are easily the lowest quality of them. Still in a different world to freeze-dried "coffee"… but I promised myself to ignore future deals. Vittoria was nothing like their cafe stuff I lurve, and the machine was worth the $49 at most.

ALDI have mastered the baseline, great quality for a great price. Nespresso is absolute wank, but my tastebuds say they have the best… albeit at a terrible price.

    All just my opinion/2c

    • yeah i have tried them all too - nespresso tastes the best but costs the most, aldi is OK but not the greatest. I've actually found the one Coles sell - espressotoria (Chicco d'oro flavour) to be really good if you just do one long shot, 1 sugar and no milk at all in a big shot glass.

    • I've tried Nespresso, Aldi and Lavazza - Lavazza make the best pods (although pricey at $11 a box).

  • Anyone know if these work with the DeLonghi Nespresso machines?

    Cheers

    • No, Nespresso uses a different size pod.

There's 4 boxes at Target at Campbelltown Mall but I don't think they'll resell it to anyone anymore. I returned 2 of those boxes this morning since the pods did not fit in my machine and they were kind of upset that the other employees sold the boxes to me in the first place on Thursday night. It took about 40 minutes to refund my money as well this morning and they apologised and said the mistake wouldn't happen again.

they were kind of upset that the other employees sold the boxes to me in the first place

Yep, because they wanted it for themselves.

      • +1

Haha, it seems possible. Some of them were saying 'I don't know why she sold him that!'.

  • What machine did you use?

  • Target Carlingford still have 4 boxes

  • Picked up the last one at Target Perth CBD (unless they had some out the back). Thanks OP.

  • None on the floor at Doncaster VIC, but I asked and there was an open box (still full) out the back. Last one, no more stock…
