  • Be aware that Telstra is turning off their GSM networks in 2017 and most likely other carriers will follow. Especially due to ACMA reviewing the use of this spectrum and will most likely use it for other purposes.

With these networks turned off these phones will become a nice old paper weight (with snake).

EDIT: Bah, this is more information but this has been mentioned

I have to neg this deal. The last time we had something like this, I ordered a 8850. The unit that came didn't work and wasn't meant to work. I took out the battery and you could see rusts on the motherboard inside. There's no buyer protection from AliExpress so I ended up burning $50. The seller doesn't speak english and its really hard to communicate.

    Be warned!

    • There is buyer protection, you simply refuse to accept the delivery, due to item not as described.

      • It's only after I open up the parcel that I realised it's spoilt phone. The staff from AliExpress requires me to send it back to the seller before my refund can be issued. An estimation from the post office shows that I have to pay $30 to send it back to the seller.

The seller promised that he/she will refund once the item is shipped back. Looking at the way it's going, I know the seller knows this game too well. I decided there's no point spending another second responding to the seller or AliExpress.

I rather spend the next second clicking refresh on Ozbargain, which is a much better deal than responding to them.

I got this, terrible. Refurbished is misleading!
Its not refurbished, the used phone was dirty and rusted , they only changed cover with loose and flimsy material.
    not recommend it at all.

  • I was a Space Impact kid, the other kids used to play Snake, I played Space Impact.

  • not even the hammer of Thor , would be able to break it .

Compared to the Nokia 530 for $39.00 this is a massive rip off.
    Spend the extra $27.00 & buy the Nokia 530 smartphone - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/168160

I found my 3330. The phone the cool kids had in 2002. I recently took it when I went travelling and I found that was still really much more functional as a phone than many modern phones. Just for the record when drunk I was able to text faster than all my mates with their IPhones. Battery lasted for about 4 days as my mates all had to fight for charging power. Still nokia 3310 FTW

Brought this last time, battery made extremely high pitched noise like a rocket about to take off, even when switched off. Probably not safe.

  • i grabbed one, because why the hell not for $15. even if it sits in my draw and reminds me once every few months and gives me a few seconds of them old memories, it'll be worth it

  • Phone comes complete with Tank Armour and the original Snake installed, what a bargain!

  • Perfect timing! Just bought mine. Getting sick of using my iphone when touring with the band and always being on my bloody phone instead of seeing the real world!

seemed no one read my comment on this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/146113#comment-2014835
and it turned out to be correct, these are old motherboards enclosed in fake cover, buttons and fake battery which may explode in your hand, they have hundred of thousand of these Nokia, Blackberry, Siemens for sale in China. Better to stay away.
