Not the best machine ever but that is cheaper than any other store I searched so far and from what I can gather from my NUC with pretty much the same specs, it will run smoothly (I know NUCs don't have DVD).

The coupon code 'JINGLEBELL' refers to a deal they have on their website at http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/view/Xmas-Daily-Deals. This coupon code has been referred in the deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/169106 but there is no mention to this deal or the fact that is a coupon code for another 5 deals.

Don't mind me posting so many Shopping Express deals but I am a big fan of this store. My HP N54L, NUC Celeron 2820 and other pieces came from this store, so no need for questions such as 'Can they be trusted?'.

    Webcam resolution is rubbish, but worst of all they've put that pile of steaming windows 8 on it. Deal breaker for me.

          In 2 minutes you can configure Windows 8 to be better than Windows 7. Faster with lower memory footprint and more secure.

          It is no longer a big issue.

      I have no idea how people feel so strongly about Win8. 30 seconds and it looks and feels just like 7.

      Worth $100+ as an upgrade? Nope. Worth crying about over on a new laptop? Lol. I don't think MS even sell 7 licenses to the big OEMs.

    I'm typing this on a similar specced Toshiba. It doesnt seem slow internetting, torrenting etc.
    I even have Photoshop CS5 installed on it, and do a bit of cloning, pic resizing and touching up and doing stupid things with the Liquify tool. : )

    I paid $350 for the Toshiba. I think most people who knock these elcheapo laptops have probably never even used one. The Lenova appears to be very good value, imo.
