      Thanks for the advice, wasn't aware of that quite significant change - especially significant following their "free" trade agreement with China. Since NZ is a "conduit" for all sorts of Chinese foodstuffs of "unknown" origin do we actually know where the beets are sourced and if they are subject to proper testing?

        Checked the Golden Circle tins and the (cheaper) ALDI sliced beetroot. No mention anywhere of the actual product source, just "made in NZ". Also nothing on the pathetic Golden Circle website. I suspect the answer is China but I've emailed Aldi and Food Standards Australia for an answer. Iirc a TV show some time back talked about Chinese f 'n veg which didn't meet Australian standards coming into this country via the back door - NZ - courtesy of their FTA with China. It may be no big deal but consumers have a right to know not just where a product is "made" (canned) but also where the raw product comes from.

      Just FYI there is a product recall on the Golden Circle Canned Beetroot Slices.

      Still have 4 cans at home with the effected batch code.

        Thanks. Have to check our pantry. Even Edgell is using USA beetroot due to "a shortage of local product". Won't be long before the only Australian veges and fruit are those you grow yourself.

    One thing with the new site, the ads up the top are really annoying & slow to load. On our tablet they change the page layout when they di load, so if you go to click on login, you often click in the ad & get xferd to a new website. Quite annoying

      Hi xccxxx, top 100 is here, and all of the 422 specials are available when you're creating your list. Just start typing what you're after and if it's on special, it will appear.

    Can you please provide a bit more detail about a couple of the BWS specials? I've tried checking on their website and can't seem to find anything that matches, and the prices seem a bit odd anyway.

    BWS Johnnie Walker Red Label Scotch Whisky, Smirnoff … 1l 2 for $180 ($28, 13%)
    BWS Baileys Original Irish Cream, Tia Maria Liqueur O… 700ml 2 for $100 ($24, 19%)

      BWS and Liquorland are rarely competitive on grog, probably best left out of this compare-a-tHon unless the whole idea is to give publicity to Coles and WW.

      Noticed the same anomalies myself Catbrain. Anyone paying $62 normally for a 700ml Bailey's must have been living under a rock - $22 at Dan's for example. Suspect it's an error.

    Some feedback on your iPhone app:

    When i click the signup/login link it goes straight to shopping lists - it seems as though it logged me into someone else's acct or something - perhaps your test account.

    Only 2 options- add another list or "logout"
